Ryan Seacrest is showing off a new look that has fans swooning. Check out the “American Idol” host’s goatee, something he said was the result of a shaving mistake that he hasn’t yet “gone out in the wild with.”
Ryan Seacrest Sports a New Goatee
On January 22, the “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” Instagram account shared a clip from the show featuring Seacrest showing of his bold new look.
Obviously, it was the main focus of the conversation, as the “Idol” host explained how it came to be.
The caption noted, “Soft launching the goatee. What do we think??”
Seacrest’s co-host Sisanie asked, “Are we rocking a goatee now? Is this the new Ryan? I’m here for it actually.”
“I was gonna leave my … it’s been here! It’s just now growing in,” he explained.
He continued, “I was gonna shave my 5 o’clock shadow into like, it’s little 5 o’clock-ness, but I accidentally went the whole way through my cheek and so I had to correct it.”
“You know when you write a letter and you write the wrong letter in a word and you have to go back and make the ‘e’ becomes a ‘p’ or something like that?” he asked.
“I had to ‘p’ my ‘e’ and ‘e’ my ‘p’ with my goatee,” he joked. “So that’s why I have a goatee.”
Sisanie responded, “It looks cute and I’m not really a facial hair girl, so that says a lot.”
Seacrest noted, “I haven’t gone out in the wild with it yet, but here you are! A debut for YouTube.”
On January 17, Seacrest took to Instagram to share a photo of himself rocking the goatee with a very ’70s vibe.
One fan commented, “If this is your new image, I like it.”
Fans Love Ryan Seacrest’s New Look
Fans flooded the comments section, weighing in on whether they love Seacrest with facial hair or not. Many shared that they love his new look, even if it was born out of correcting a shaving mistake.
