We had Disney Night on “American Idol” season 24 tonight on ABC. The Top 9 on “American Idol” 2026 were taking on some of your favorite Disney songs from some of your favorite Disney movies. Lucas Leon has been grinding his way through the performances this season, so I was excited to see what he was going to pull out for this Disney Night performance on “American Idol” 2026. Check out the Lucas Leon performance video from tonight below in our “American Idol” spoilers.

Last Week on ‘American Idol’ Season 24

For this performance last week on “American Idol” season 24, he sang “Bennie And The Jets” by Elton John. No guitar this time for Lucas. Instead, he went behind the piano and showed off some of his other skills.

I think he has some talent, but I am lost when it comes to Lucas. I had him going home a long time ago, and this performance helped me in my thinking. He makes these weird facial expressions when singing, and it’s all I can focus on. However, his fans seem to love him and are keeping him in the competition.

He headed to Disneyland with his mom. They headed to the “Cars” section, as he needed inspiration. Jennifer asked why he chose this song. She said he is such an old soul. He has great instincts about music, but she wanted him to look at the crowd. They really worked on that eye contact. She said he has the vocals and the instrument, but he needs to have the presence.

For his performance, he sings “Life Is A Highway” from “Cars.” I feel Lucas is a good singer, but he doesn’t wow me. It’s the same every week. Good voice, but something is lacking. However, he kicks it in later, and I liked it. He was kind of rocking out and having fun up there.

For the judges, Jennifer said he took every note, and he owned the stage. She felt like she was at his concert. He is well on his way. Luke said he loves it at such a young age; he is so comfortable. Keep having your confidence. Lionel said give them everything you know how to do. Give them some attitude. Carrie said that he was joyful and he was having fun. It was entertaining and fun to watch.

What did you think of Lucas’ performance on “American Idol” tonight?
