Former “American Idol” judge Simon Cowell continued his annual holiday tradition of jetting off to Barbados to spend the season in the company of his fiancée, Lauren Silverman. This year, his ex and close family friend Terri Seymour also joined them.
The music mogul vacationed alongside the two women, whose public reunion highlighted the long-standing and amicable friendship Cowell has maintained with Seymour following their separation.
Christmas in the Caribbean
While Cowell kept a low profile on the trip, Silverman and entertainment reporter Seymour were photographed by Daily Mail strolling along the beach together. It was reported that they were both “looking relaxed and in high spirits” and “laughing and chatting” as they walked together.
The pair were both sporting effortless, seaside chic outfits. Seymour was pictured wearing a striped one piece swimsuit with white trousers, which she accessorized with dark sunglasses. She wore her long, curly hair down, tying the whole look together. Silverman wore a green one piece and a patterned sarong, also paired with stylish shades. She had her hair up in a ponytail.

A recent Instagram post from Silverman featured clips from their Christmas getaway, including a clip of Silverman and Seymour sitting outside at a table together, smiling, as well as a clip of Cowell lounging on an outdoor couch surrounded by family and friends.
Inside Cowell’s Close-Knit Blended Family
Cowell and Seymour dated for six years before calling it quits in 2008, but they have remained close friends ever since.
Back in 2023, Cowell spent Easter with Seymour and Silverman. “Easter 2023 🐰🐣❤️💗💕
Thank you @simoncowell & #LaurenSilverman we love you guys! 😘” wrote Seymour in the caption of her April 11 Instagram post which featured their blended families celebrating together.
In the photo, Cowell and Silverman posed next to Seymour and her boyfriend, Clark Mallon. Also pictured was Cowell and Silverman’s son Eric and Silverman’s son Adam, whom she shares with ex-husband Andrew Silverman. Seymour and Mallon’s daughter, Coco, stood in front of her parents holding an Easter basket.
Also included in the post was an Easter egg hunt video and a photo of a delicious spread, along with photos of Seymour with Silverman and Amanda Holden, as well as Seymour with Mallon and Coco.
In 2022, Cowell sat down with The Sun to chat about his career and how becoming a father changed his perspective on work.
“If Eric hadn’t come along, God knows what would have happened,” Cowell said in the emotional interview. “Before Eric, my life was 99 percent work. I was obsessed with it.”
Cowell named his son after his late father, whom he was very close with before his passing.
“After I lost my mum and my dad, you kind of think you’re never going to feel that love again — that’s it. Then you have kids, and, though I never thought I would feel that way, it’s beyond your love for your parents,” he said. “It almost hurts how much you love them. Then you start thinking, ‘When he grows up, what’s his dad going to have done?’ I think about that a lot.”
“Now Eric is around, I don’t work through the night anymore. If he hadn’t come along, God knows what would have happened. The thought of it — I can’t deal with that,” Cowell said.
