Barrett nominated Angela Murray, Dee Valladares and Rick Devens this week, taking a direct shot at the Icons. Yash won the Power of Veto but decided not to use it. Therefore, Barrett’s plan remained intact and Devens was positioned as his primary target.
During RHAP’s Sept. 8 live feed update, Taran Armstrong and Scally discussed the aftermath of the Veto ceremony and how Barrett is reflecting on his decisions. Although his HOH successfully put the Icons under pressure, questions about his relationships with the other new players could complicate his position. This could become an issue moving forward.
Barrett Questions His ‘Big Brother 28’ Position
Barrett entered the week prepared to make a major move, but he is now considering what his HOH could mean for his long-term game.
According to Armstrong and Scally, Barrett reflected on his decisions following a Labor Day party. After that, he expressed doubts about his standing in the house.
The newer players have discussed continuing to target the Icons next week. However, the RHAP hosts noted that Melody appears to be one of the players most committed to following through with that plan.
That uncertainty could become important once Barrett loses the safety that comes with being HOH.
Dee and Angela are already discussing how they could respond to Barrett’s move if they survive the week, creating another potential obstacle for him.
Dee Valladares Explores a New Girls’ Alliance
Dee is also searching for new options as the Icons face one of their most difficult weeks.
According to the recap, Dee has explored forming a girls’ alliance with Angela, Taylor and Melody.
Scally highlighted Taylor’s skepticism about the proposal, particularly because of concerns about whether Dee would remain loyal to the group.
Still, the conversations demonstrate how quickly the house could reorganize after this week’s eviction.
With Devens currently the primary target, Dee and Angela may soon need relationships outside the Icons to improve their chances of reaching the end.
ParamountDrew and Melody Face New Tension
Drew’s position has become another question heading into the next HOH competition.
He has increasingly felt isolated and believes he may need to rely on competition wins to remain safe.
His relationship with Melody has also attracted attention from the other houseguests. Their flirtation became another talking point following the party, while a planned Veto ceremony prank created additional tension between them.
According to Armstrong and Scally, Melody became frustrated after Drew backed out of participating in the prank.
Meanwhile, Yash is considering throwing the next HOH despite emerging as one of the season’s strongest competitors. Armstrong discussed the potential risks of becoming too rigid about when to win or lose competitions.
For now, Barrett still has the opportunity to complete his original goal of weakening the Icons.
However, with Dee exploring new allies, Drew questioning his position and the newcomers already showing different priorities, the end of Barrett’s HOH could open the door to another major power shift on “Big Brother 28.”
