The 61st Academy of Country Music Awards is making its return to Las Vegas after three successful years in Texas. The ACM Awards 2026 will take place at the world-renowned MGM Grand Arena.
What time does the awards show start tonight? The award celebration will take place on Sunday, May 17, 2026, starting at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT / 5 p.m. PT.
What Channel Are the 2026 ACM Awards On?
We don’t have a traditional TV channel to turn to for the 2026 ACM Awards. Instead, the awards show will be streaming exclusively online.
What does that mean for viewers? They can watch the event live on Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch starting at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT / 5 p.m. PT.
This is something totally different for award shows, as the ACM Awards continue their groundbreaking legacy as the first-ever major awards show to livestream exclusively. The livestream is free to watch for everyone, so you don’t need an Amazon Prime subscription to view it.
Following the livestream, the ceremony will be available to watch on demand on Prime Video starting Monday, May 18, at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT.
Country Legend Makes Debut as Host
Back in April, the ACM Awards announced that country music legend Shania Twain would be hosting the 61st annual awards show. This marks the first time Twain will be hosting the ceremony.
At the time, the “Any Man of Mine” singer stated she was “thrilled” to be taking on the gig in a city “that feels like home.”
Twain added, “It’s such an honor to be part of this incredible night celebrating Country Music’s biggest stars, especially with so many talented women leading nominations this year. I can’t wait to welcome all of the fans and artists out for this unforgettable night.”
Twain has had her own success at the ACM Awards, winning five times over the years. She won the Poet’s Award in 2022, Entertainer of the Year in 2000, the Double-Diamond Award for “The Woman in Me” and “Come on Over” in 1999, Album of the Year for “The Woman in Me” in 1996, and Top New Female Vocalist in 1996.
