Jennifer Aniston is carrying a piece of Dolly Parton‘s wisdom with her as the world continues to mourn the country music legend. The Friends star, 57, paid tribute to Dolly during a rare joint appearance with boyfriend Jim Curtis at The 92nd Street Y in New York City on Wednesday, September 2.

When an audience member asked Jennifer for the best advice she could offer, the “Friends” star turned to something she learned from Dolly. “It’s real. … We’re all in post-Parton, aren’t we?” Jennifer said, according to Us Weekly.
She then recalled one of the singer’s memorable sayings.

Jennifer then guided the discussion toward Jim’s career, his approach to wellness and the difficult health journey that helped change the direction of his life.
Jim became emotional while recalling reaching what he described as an “ultimate low” after struggling with his health and relationships.”I just said, ‘You know what? I’ve reached rock bottom and it’s time to change,'” he said.
