Country music star Lainey Wilson, 33, and Devlin Hodges, 30, officially tied the knot at Ruskin Cave in Dickson, Tennessee, on May 10, 2026. The country music star’s dress was a custom Oscar de la Renta gown adorned with tiny Japanese cherry blossoms. Hodges sported a bespoke suit by D. Lacquaniti, a custom bolo tie, and cowboy boots, and, of course, a cowboy hat.
2. Devlin Hodges Met Lainey Wilson on a Blind Date in 2021
The new Mr. and Mrs. Hodges met on a blind date back in 2021 and have pretty much been inseparable since, according to the country music star. After about four years together, Duck popped the question in February 2025 at George Jones’s estate in Franklin, Tennessee.
Given George Jones’s legacy as a country singer and songwriter, the location of the proposal was made even sweeter for Wilson. After their engagement, Wilson recounted, “We love George Jones, and he knew it would mean a lot to me to do it right there on George’s front porch.”
3. Devlin Hodges Was a Four-Year Starting Quarterback at Samford University
Before meeting his country music star wife, Devlin Hodges had a standout college football career at Samford University in Homewood, Alabama. He was the Bulldogs’ four-year starting quarterback and was named the Southern Conference Offensive Player of the Year three times.
Football is a family affair for the Hodges, as Devlin’s brother, Duncan Hodges, also played quarterback for the Virginia Military Institute Keydets in Lexington, Virginia.

4. Devlin Hodges Played Quarterback in the NFL and CFL
Despite being undrafted following his college career, Lainey Wilson’s husband did end up signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers as a free agent for the 2019 season. Hodges saw some game time in his first NFL season after the Steelers’ starting quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger, suffered an injury. However, during the 2020 season, Hodges was waived by the Steelers and signed to the practice squad.
During the 2021 NFL season, Hodges signed with the Los Angeles Rams. However, he was only on the practice squad and was later waived by the team. That same year, Hodges signed a three-year contract with the Ottawa Redblacks of the Canadian Football League.
