Dylan Efron isn’t just making headlines for his reality TV success on “The Traitors” and “Dancing with the Stars“, but he’s also been winning in love for years. The 33-year-old adventurer has been with his longtime girlfriend, Courtney King, since their high school days in California, and their relationship has quietly remained the heart of his off-camera life.
Efron revealed on The Viall Files podcast in March 2025 that he and Courtney first met at Arroyo Grande High School. Though they keep much of their romance out of the spotlight, Dylan has been sharing glimpses of their love on social media since at least 2016.
A Private Relationship Away From the Spotlight
Unlike Dylan, who has built a career in the spotlight as a TV personality, producer, and film production coordinator on projects like “Ready Player One,” “The Accountant,” and “American Sniper,” Courtney King has chosen a quieter path outside Hollywood.
“She’s actually not on social media and she works a 40-hour-a-week job,” Efron shared on The Viall Files. “It works out really well. It’s not like I’m hiding her from the world or anything. She understands the job … she just doesn’t really like being on camera.”
That doesn’t mean she avoids entertainment altogether. In fact, Courtney has a soft spot for reality TV. “My girlfriend just watches a lot of [those shows],” Dylan joked. “So I’ll just be sitting down and suddenly I’ve watched a whole episode of Southern Charm.”
Are Dylan Efron & Courtney King Engaged?
As of now, Dylan Efron is not engaged, but he admitted that marriage is definitely in the couple’s future. When podcast host Nick Viall asked if wedding bells were on the horizon, Dylan replied, “That’s something that’s definitely on the horizon. Well, she knows the answer. We’re working on it.”
The 33-year-old added that Courtney King isn’t pressuring him with any deadlines. “She’d never impose a deadline. Look, we’re 33. She’s not going to put a deadline on it,” he explained.
Dylan’s Future Family Plans
Dylan Efron doesn’t have children yet, but he’s already dreaming of starting a family of his own. “I am now in that stage of, I’m looking at the next chapter. I want kids,” he said on The Viall Files.
The reality star shared that being around his much younger half-siblings, Olivia and Henry, from his father’s second marriage, has shown him the joy of parenthood. “I got to see the joy of them growing up and I want that for myself, too,” he explained.
For now, Dylan and Courtney King are focused on supporting each other, his busy life in the entertainment world and her quieter career outside the spotlight, while looking ahead to building their future together.
