Beloved Disney Star Passes Away at 33 — Our Hearts Go Out

Carla Jeffery, a Disney star who is best known for her role as Bree in “Z-O-M-B-I-E-S,” has tragically passed away at the age of 33.

Her talent agency, Alexanders Talent Management, shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram.

“Our hearts are broken as we mourn the loss of our beloved Carla Jeffery. 💔,” the caption on the post read. “For more than 20 years, Carla was part of the Alexanders Talent Management family, and watching her grow from a talented young girl into the beautiful, vibrant woman and actress she became was an incredible privilege.”

“We will remember her infectious smile, her laughter, her talent, and the beautiful light she carried everywhere she went,” they continued. “Our deepest love and condolences are with Carla’s family and loved ones. We ask that their privacy be respected during this incredibly difficult time.

“Rest beautifully, Carla. You will be deeply missed and forever loved. 🤍”

Jeffery passed away on Tuesday, Sept 1, but no official cause of death was disclosed at the time of publishing.


Tributes Pour In For Carla Jeffery

Below Alexanders Talent Management’s post, many comments were left, paying tribute to the actress.

“Rest in peace Carla forever our Bree💚🩷,” one person wrote.

“This cannot be happening rip Carla/Bree forever in our hearts☹️💔,” another person commented.

“Clara was such a huge part of my childhood as a huge Zombies fan and she always looked like such a lovely person, I can’t believe she’s gone rest easy angel😭💔,” a fan posted.

Others also paid tribute on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“She was my childhood icon, i saw so much of her in myself, rest in peace,” one fan stated.

“This is actually so heartbreaking to hear. why do things like this have to happen to such a bright light. i don’t think people online realize how hard it is to be a young actor in this industry,” another fan expressed.

“This is so heartbreaking 🙁 She had the sweetest smile and seemed so kind 🙁 I loved seeing her and her brother on disney when I was little. May she rest easy,” a fan said.


Carla Jeffery’s Disney Legacy

Along with her starring role in “Z-O-M-B-I-E-S,” Jeffery also appeared in numerous other shows on the Disney Channel, including playing Jean in Good Luck Charlie, Margie in Shake It Up, and Karen in Best Friends Whenever. She also played Mania in Spider-Man, as well as portraying a student in Fox’s “Lie To Me” and A girl on “Scream Queens.” On ABC, she was Shira in “Suburgatory.” Other appearances include Phat GirlziCarlyCurb Your EnthusiasmTorchwoodCrazy Ex-GirlfriendUncle Buck, and American Vandal.

Her tragic passing comes in the same year as the deaths of two other fellow Disney alums, Daveigh Chase and Hayden Panettiere. They were all in their 30s.
