We are back in South Carolina tonight on โThe Great Food Truck Raceโ 2025 on Food Network. Itโs going to be a special night for the four remaining teams on โThe Great Food Truck Raceโ season 18.
The teams will be faced with a NASCAR cooking challenge, as they dash their way around Darlington Raceway. Tyler Florence will be guiding them through another set of challenges for tonightโs episode.
Once-in-a-Lifetime Opportunity on โThe Great Food Truck Raceโ
The teams competed in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Wilmington, North Carolina, last week on โThe Great Food Truck Raceโ 2025. The four remaining teams will continue their fight for that $50,000 prize while making their way back to South Carolina tonight.
This time, the teams will be making their way to Darlington Raceway for Episode 5. The episode is titled โDarlington Dash.โ
In the episode synopsis from Food Network, โHost Tyler Florence gives the food trucks a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to dash around Darlington Raceway in South Carolina and cook for NASCAR’s Mamba Smith and Todd Gilliland. One team wins their first challenge but follows it up by making a shocking decision with devastating results. No one is prepared for the shocking outcome of this week’s elimination.โ
Bringing the Speed of NASCAR
In the sneak peek shared by Food Network above, the teams make their way to Darlington Raceway. Once there, they meet up with Tyler, Mamba, and Todd to find out about the first challenge of the night.
For this NASCAR challenge on โThe Great Food Truck Raceโ 2025, the teams will be tasked with having to elevate tailgate food. This challenge will not only be about creating a tasty dish, but also about how fast the team can make that dish.
The team that creates the best-tasting dish, which will be judged by Mamba Smith and Todd Gilliland, will get $300 for their till. However, there will be a second winner for the challenge also.
The team that creates its dish the fastest will be able to shut down two of the other trucks for one hour during the competition. That is a huge advantage, as one less hour of selling can make or break a team. Ask Fat Kid Food Co., which lost by just $54 last week when they were sent home.
As seen in the sneak peek above, the teams are battling to get their dish out quickly. They want that challenge win, and being able to shut down two of their opponents for one hour each.
