It’s Thursday night, so that normally means a new episode of “Next Level Chef” 2026 tonight on FOX, right? The mentors — Chef Gordon Ramsay, Nyesha Arrington, and Richard Blais — keep throwing the challenges at these chefs, but will “Next Level Chef” season 5 be new tonight? Is ‘Next Level Chef’ New Tonight?
No! While we are in the middle of “Next Level Chef” season 5, it looks like FOX is taking a break from airing a new episode.
The reason? It looks like FOX is airing the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards tonight. It’s going to be a night of performances, awards being handed out, and acceptance speeches. Because of that, there is no time to air a new episode of “Next Level Chef” tonight.
Last Time on ‘Next Level Chef’ 2026
Last time on “Next Level Chef” season 5, we had mini Gordon in the kitchen, as Gordon’s son Oscar joined them for the challenge. For the challenge, the chefs were given 30 minutes to reimagine and elevate a classic kids’ dish.
Team Blais worked in the Top Kitchen, with Team Ramsay in the Middle Kitchen and Team Arrington in the Basement. The whole challenge, Team Arrington was focused and determined to get out of the Basement.
That focus worked, as Connor had the best dish of the week. Because of that, he and his Team Arrington chefs would be moving to the Top Level for next week’s challenges.
The other two mentors had to pick a member of their team to cook in the Elimination Cook-Off challenge. Gordon picked Amber, and Richard picked Tim.
For this challenge, the chefs had to use those ingredients that kids don’t like to eat, like broccoli or fish. They needed to transform those ingredients into a dish that the kids won’t be able to resist. The chefs had 25 minutes to cook their dishes.
They ended up getting squab to cook, which neither of them had done. In the end, Richard and Gordon voted that Amber had cooked the better dish. That meant Tim had been eliminated from the competition.
How Do Things Currently Stack Up?
Now that we have a break in the competition tonight, let’s look at where things currently stand on season 5.
Heading into next week’s episode, we have 10 chefs remaining in the competition. For Team Blais, it’s Christian, Darian, and Jared. Team Ramsay has four chefs left: Gabrielle, Andy, Amber, and Cole. For Team Arrington, they have three chefs left: Machete, Danielle, and Connor.
Based on these chefs, each team seems to have a chef who stands out. Christian from Team Blais, Cole from Team Ramsay, and Danielle from Team Arrington. Team Ramsay is holding strong with four contestants, as he went with girl power this season, and it’s paying off so far.
“Next Level Chef” normally airs on Thursdays at 8/7c on FOX, with episodes available to stream the following day on Hulu.
