Jamie Oliver has given his fans a real treat in the form of a rather fetching (and slightly humorous) photograph of himself from his younger days.
The “Naked Chef” — as he was known in those early days, due to the theme of his early television shows being the “stripping down” of cooking to its bare essentials — shared the throwback image to his 10.6 million followers on his Instagram account.
Suffice it to say, the image has garnered quite the reaction from a portion of those followers.
Jamie Oliver Remembers His ‘Questionable ‘Mega Quiff’
Jamie Oliver captioned the post in a typically affable and self-deprecating style, writing, “I’ve definitely had some questionable hairstyles over the years but this one really takes the cake …. an absolute mega quiff here lol !!”
The image shows a polaroid of Oliver sitting by a fireplace, with a smouldering look on his face, staring poignantly at nothing in particular, and wearing a wax jacket with a collared shirt in jeans.
Although he still looks great today at 50 years old, his fresh face in the throwback picture is barely recognizable.

Famous Tuscany chef Luisanna Messeri wrote, “Che bellino! 😍🤗” For those of you who don’t speak Italian, that means “How cute!”
One of Oliver’s followers commented, “That looks awesome. Album cover material. M x”
Also, another fan of the chef wrote, “Ahhhhh.. youth! You look fantastic Mr Oliver… the good old days xx @jamieoliver.”
“God no way! Classic evolution of the Hoxton Fin and a GREAT look 😍,” mused another follower.
Of course, one over-zealous fan inevitably fell for Oliver’s thirst trap, commenting, “Phrroar…as we used to say back then! 😍”
Meanwhile, someone else simply noted, “It was the beginning of you ! ❤️”
It’s always nice to take a look back at how celebrities used to look — and it’s even nicer to see them poking fun at themselves when it happens.
