For tonight, the home cooks will be tasked with elevating stadium food. They also have to include some cultural flair in these dishes. Week 5 Begins
The judges are in place as the Season 16 home cooks arrive in the kitchen. We have the first head-to-head battle tonight on “MasterChef.” We will provide updates as tonight’s episode airs, so keep refreshing this page for the latest results.
8:10 p.m. – For the first challenge, the home cooks need to make an elevated dish inspired by stadium food that also shows off their cultural flair. They have 60 minutes, and the best dish wins the MasterChef Immunity Pin, which gives them safety for the next challenge, but also gives their team immunity for tonight. The chefs have gotten started on this challenge.
8:18 p.m. – The cooking continues, as Nora has cut herself and needs medics. She then lost the band-aid, so she needed medics again. Julia burnt her pancetta and is not sure if she has enough time to restart them.
8:27 p.m. – The time runs out for this challenge. The dishes are plated, and the judges will be tasting them soon.
8:41 p.m. – The judges taste the best dish from each region, which belongs to Aishu (Asia-Pacific), Aghata (Europe), Peter (Africa), and Tkaiya (The Americas). These four home cooks are all safe from elimination, but the dish winning safety for their region is coming up after the commercial break.
Results on ‘MasterChef’ Season 16
8:51 p.m. – The winning dish came from Aishu from Asia-Pacific, who wins an advantage for next week’s challenge and won immunity for her team tonight.
8:57 p.m. – The worst dishes for each region came from Julia (Europe), Jake (The Americas), and Nora (Europe). During tasting, Tiffany found that lost band-aid from earlier, as it was in Nora’s sandwich! Needless to say, that was enough to send her home. Jake and Julia survived the elimination.
