Tonight, the judges brought in some VIP guests and opened up the Great Room for dinner service. The chefs were working in teams and had 40 minutes to create a course for these hungry diners. Week 7 Begins
We have another week here on “Next Level Chef.” The chefs have arrived, so time to see what happens tonight. We will share updates as the episode airs, so keep refreshing the page!
8:14 p.m. – The chefs are working in teams tonight to create a course for dinner service in the Great Room. Team Arrington is up first, creating the appetizer for these 22 guests.
8:23 p.m. – The diners are arriving, as Team Arrington is plating the appetizers. They are rushed and behind. Team Blais has gotten started on their fish course.
8:33 p.m. – Team Arrington served their dish, which the judges liked but thought it was kind of a safe dish. Nothing special about it. Now Team Blais is on the clock, as Tim seems to have overcooked the potatoes.
8:45 p.m. – All of the teams have served their dishes. The judges have tasted them and made their decision on the winners and losers for tonight.
Elimination Cook-Off Challenge
8:52 p.m. – Since Team Arrington lost, they will all be heading to the Elimination Cook-Off Challenge. For this challenge, they will have 25 minutes to make a recreated scallop dish. The platform comes down, so they start grabbing their ingredients. The clock now starts for cooking.
8:55 p.m. – The time runs out, and food is plated. Time for the judges to taste these dishes to see who is eliminated tonight! Time for the tasting:
- Connor: Ayesha said beautiful presentation. Right cook on the scallops. It’s delicious.
- Machete: Scallops are cooked beautifully. Rice could use another 30 seconds. Rissot is tight, but balanced nicely.
- Danielle – The scallop is cooked beautifully. The garnish is clumsy. Wanted crispier potatoes.
- Matt – They want more bacon and fewer potatoes. The scallop is underdone, but flavor was incredible.
Gordon and Ayesha make their decisions, and Gordon votes to eliminate Danielle’s dish, and Ayesha votes to eliminate Matt’s dish. That means Richard has to cast the deciding vote, so he decides to eliminate Matt!
