“Home Turf” Hallmark star Nikki DeLoach recently celebrated a very special day in a beautiful way. Her older son Hudson just turned 12 and she took to Instagram to gush over him on the big ocassion.
Nikki DeLoach Gushed Over Her Older Son, Hudson
On October 22, DeLoach posted a photo on Instagram that showed Hudson posing with their family dog. The Hallmark star noted that Hudson is “The animal whisperer” as well as her “lover of nature and everything outdoors.”
DeLoach described Hudson as “The one who surprises me with my favorite tea, made exactly how I like it, in my favorite mug.”
Hudson is also “The one who feels so deeply and forgives so easily.”
She described him as creative and resourceful, and added that he’s “The one who is constantly dreaming up ways to give back to the hospital that saved his brother’s life.”
As DeLoach previously told Us Weekly, her younger son, Bennett, was born with four congenital heart defects. He needed “immediate intervention,” or “he was not going to survive.”
Bennett’s first surgery took place when he was just five days old.
The Hallmark Star’s Birthday Tribute Touched Colleagues & Fans
DeLoach shared another sweet tidbit about Hudson in her birthday tribute post. She wrote that she was both blessed and lucky to be his mother, and noted, “Hudson once told me that he waited for me to be ready to be a mother because ‘that’s what you and I do mom… we choose each other again and again in every lifetime.'”
She shared that Hudson’s take was the “truest, most beautiful way to sum up our love. It’s chosen. It’s unconditional. It’s eternal and everylasting.”
DeLoach’s Hallmark colleagues and fans gushed over both her and her son in the comment section of her Instagram post.
Andrew Walker wrote, “I remember when we did ‘a dream of Christmas’ and he was just 1yrs old…What an incredibly empathetic, compassionate, kind young man you are Hudson.”
Walker teasingly added, “Keep choosing your mom… if you know what’s best for you.”
Fellow Hallmark star Kristoffer Polaha commented, “Handsome boy! Happy birthday, Hudson!”
A supporter wrote, “Well, I’m crying now. What a lovely post about your handsome guy! HBD to him.”
Another shared, “What a heartfelt tribute to your son. You are a living legacy to him. He is following in your footsteps well. A very Happy Birthday wish to your Hudson. God bless him as he continues to do such good deed.”
