Tyler Hynes is a mama’s boy and couldn’t be prouder of it. The Hallmark superstar is notorious for his devotion to and deep respect for his mom, Betty, and his tribute to her had fans swooning on Mother’s Day 2026.
Back in his hometown of Toronto after filming a new Christmas movie and promoting his latest Hallmark hit, “I’ll Be Seeing You,” Hynes wrote, “The timing couldn’t have been better to be home for what has been and will certainly continue to be the most important day of the year. Mothers day.”

Hynes included numerous never-seen family photos in his post, including pics of himself as a newborn, surrounded by his parents and older brother. His Instagram carousel also included a rare throwback video of his mom kissing him and his brother on their heads, and a sweet pic of him cozying up to his mom as a kid.
The “Three Wiser Men” star also included more recent glimpses of his beloved mom, including black-and-white photo booth pics from a favorite Toronto restaurant, Cherry’s High Dive, and videos of her arranging flowers, kayaking, and enjoying nature.
“I have no greater perspective on life than I do in this moment,” Hynes wrote in his caption. “And that I owe to my father. But my mother, you will always have my undivided attention and unwavering devotion to making this next chapter of your life as beautiful and vibrant as you are. And to all mothers, thank you. 🙏🏻🤍”
In the comment section of his post, Hynes added, “Nothing stronger in this world than a mother”
Hynes has often spoken lovingly about his mom, and delighted in bringing her to Hallmark events to see her son shine and meet his fans, including aboard the Hallmark Christmas Cruise. While filming and executive-producing “I’ll Be Seeing You,” he told EntertainmentNow that his mom loved watching the dailies — raw footage shot each day of the production.
