Reactions are Flooding in After Cryptic Teaser is Posted Online

On October 9, the “BRAT” singer posted the film’s first teaser on her Instagram with the caption, “based on an original idea by charli xcx. The moment. coming 2026. @a24 @aidanzamiri.”

In support of their newest film, the production company A24 commented, “Let’s ride.” Even social-networking app “Grindr” commented, “she’s an icon, she’s a legend, and she IS the moment.”

Meanwhile on X, Spotify reacted to the news by riffing off of “The Bear” actress Ayo Edebiri‘s viral comment on Hunter Schafer‘s Instagram post that read, “I’m seated. The theater employees are scared and asking me to leave because it’s ‘not August yet’ but I’m simply too seated.”

Fans like @allypallyxcx also responded to Charli’s tweet. “I JUST WANT THIS MOMENT TO LAST FOREVER,” they wrote, quoting Charli xcx’s 2020 song “Forever.”

@untouchedXOXO championed, “FIRST ALBUM OF THE YEAR 2024 AND NOW MOVIE OF THE YEAR 2026.”

These are just a few of the thousands of comments currently flooding the singer’s socials. Charli’s “Angels” just can’t contain their excitement.

What Do We Know About “The Moment” so Far?

“The Moment” is written by director Aidan Zamiri and Bertie Brandes. It will be backed by A24, meaning this film will soon be among the production company’s other wildly successful films, such as “Lady Bird,” seven time Oscar-winner “Everything Everywhere All At Once,” and “Hereditary.”

According to Deadline, the plot follows a rising pop star as she navigates the complexities of fame and industry pressure while preparing for her arena-tour debut, which is apt considering the “360” singer is coming out of her most successful year as a musician.

Charli has also called on her longtime friends and musical collaborators A.G. Cook and Shygirl to provide original music for the film. The two were also featured on Charli’s “BRAT” remix album “Brat and it’s completely different but also still brat” on the songs “Von Dutch (A.G. Cook remix; featuring Addison Rae),” “So I (featuring A.G. Cook),” and “365 (featuring Shygirl).”
