Superstar Singer Sparks Emotional Reactions with Serious Tribute to Liam Payne

Harry Styles recently shared a heartfelt tribute to his late One Direction bandmate Liam Payne, but it appears he might have taken things one step further in remembering the singer’s legacy.

Specifically, fans were quick to notice that right above his elbow, Styles has the word “Slinky” tattooed, which led to speculation that it’s connected to Payne, who was known for saying that his favorite movie is “Toy Story.”

Payne tragically passed away on October 16, 2024, at the age of 31 after falling from a third-floor balcony at a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The “slinky” tattoo was on display during his cameo on Ryan Gosling’s Saturday Night Live monologue on March 7, and fans were loving it.

“noticing harry styles got a new tattoo on snl last night and it says slinky which could relate to toy story which was liam payne’s favorite movie meaning harry probably got it in honour of him,” one person posted on TikTok.

“i just notice that the “slinky” tattoo people suspect harry got for liam’s love for toy story is in the arm that has more space,” another fan shared on X, formerly known as Twitter.

In a new Apple Music interview released on March 4, Styles spoke about Payne, opening up about the time he spent with the late musician.

“It’s like, I saw someone with the kindest heart who just wanted to be great,” Styles said, adding that Payne’s passing had him “taking a look at my life and being able to say to myself, ‘OK, what do I want to do with my life? How do I want to live my life?’ And I think the greatest way you can honor your friends who pass away is by living your life to the fullest.”

“I think there was a period when he passed away where I really struggled with kind of, like, acknowledging how strange it is to have people kind of, like, own part of your grief in a way,” he added. “I have such strong feelings around my friend passing away. Then suddenly being, you know, like, aware of there’s maybe a desire from other people for you to convey that in some way, or it means you’re not feeling what you’re feeling or something.”
