Do you believe in psychics? Hilary Duff apparently does and has just revealed that she received a message via a psychic from her teenaged sweetheart and ex-boyfriend, the late Aaron Carter. This comes after the musician and “Dancing with the Stars” alum sadly passed away in 2022, when he accidentally drowned in a bathtub at just 34 years old.
Hilary Opened Up About Her Conversation with the Psychic
Duff opened up about the experience during an interview on the Wednesday, April 1 episode of “Las Culturistas” podcast. She explained, “I talked to this psychic on the phone, and she doesn’t know who you are when you call. Eventually, she figured it out.”
The “Lizzie McGuire” star revealed that the psychic discovered who she was due to the fact that Carter appeared. Duff recalled, “She’s, like, ‘Well, people are gonna start showing up for you. And there’s someone here. Aaron — two As.’ I was like, ‘Oh my god.’”
When Duff asked the psychic if the Aaron she was referring to was Carter, Duff says, “She was, like, ‘Sure is. What the hell’s he doing here?’ I was like, ‘Well, that’s my childhood boyfriend. And that would make sense to me.’ And, she’s like, ‘Are you Hilary Duff?’”
Although Duff decided not to divulge the message that Carter sent, she did say that it was “a really wild experience.”

GettyWhile both Duff and Carter pursued music careers when they got older, she was also a Disney star when she was younger. That’s when she met Carter.
Duff and Carter “dated off and on from 2000 to 2003 after they met on the set of her Disney Channel series,” according to E! News. They were both just 13 at the time.
Glamour also confirms that “Duff famously dated the late Aaron Carter on-and-off from 2000 to 2003, reportedly getting together around the time he filmed Lizzie McGuire’s iconic Christmas episode, ‘Here Comes Aaron Carter.'”
“The young teens split for good in 2003, though Carter later referred to Duff as the ‘love of his life’ in a series of tweets in 2014,” per Glamour.
Following Carter’s passing, Duff took to Instagram to share a message for him, writing, “”For Aaron- I’m deeply sorry that life was so hard for you and that you had to struggle in-front of the whole world.”
“You had a charm that was absolutely effervescent…boy did my teenage self love you deeply,” she continued. “Sending love to your family at this time. Rest easy.”
