Jessica Simpson Shares Rare Holiday Photo of All 3 Kids

Singer and fashion icon Jessica Simpson is spreading warm holiday vibes this season, posting a heartfelt snapshot of her three children celebrating together under the Christmas tree.

The festive family moment — a rare all-kids photo — captured the hearts of fans who’ve watched her children grow up.

On Thursday, December 4, Simpson shared the sweet Instagram photo featuring her eldest daughter Maxwell Drew Johnson, 13; son Ace Knute Johnson, 12; and youngest daughter Birdie Mae Johnson, 6, all beaming in front of their festively decorated tree.

Maxwell struck a playful pose with her tongue out and arm around Birdie.

Birdie stood under her siblings’ arms, grinning widely, while Ace wrapped an arm around Birdie’s head — a lighthearted family portrait full of sibling chaos and joy.

In her caption, Simpson wrote: “Christmas time is here! What the month of December brings to my kiddos has always been about the genuine feelings of love, excitement, hope, happiness, grace and pure JOY!”

She added, “Wishin’ you and yours all the many blessings this month has to offer y’all’s hearts ❤️🎄💚🎄.”

Cozy Co-Parenting and New Family Norms

This holiday photo comes in the wake of Simpson and her estranged husband Eric Johnson’s separation earlier in 2025 — a change they’ve navigated together with a “family-first” approach for the sake of their children.

Despite the shift, the holiday season shows the family’s unity remains a priority.

Earlier this week, Simpson shared that Thanksgiving was spent with both Eric and their kids, along with extended family — honoring traditions while keeping things amicable.

“It’s my kids’ father,” Simpson said of spending the holiday with family. “And all their grandparents [were there], they have a lot of ‘em. Family first.”

She added that her three kids watched the Yale vs. Harvard football game, as Johnson played for Yale before going pro.

“They had fun doing that. It’s where their dad played,” Simpson added. “And they saw a huge billboard that was promoting [my] show, so they were like, ‘Mom!!!’ [They] sent me pictures.”

A Holiday That Feels Real & Relatable

The candid photo resonated with many fans who appreciate Simpson’s willingness to show real-life family moments beyond red carpets and glamour.

Comments poured in from followers appreciating the relaxed, fun energy — kids in pajamas or casual clothes, messy hair, big smiles.

For Simpson, this time of year has always been about cherishing her children and giving them joy.

In previous years, she’s shared photos of family Christmas card moments, matching holiday pajamas, and candid behind-the-scenes glimpses of parenting life.

This year’s post feels like a nod to continuity, love, and simple happiness against a backdrop of change.
