Limp Bizkit bassist Sam Rivers has tragically passed away at the age of 48, the band announced in a statement on social media.
No cause of death was made known at this time.
Rivers was one of the founding members of Limp Bizkit, which formed in 1994. The band went on to release six studio albums. While he left the group briefly in 2015 due to medical reasons, he rejoined in 2018.

Many people rushed to show love and pay tribute to Rivers following the news of his passing.
Limp Bizkit’s DJ Lethal commented under the statement posted by the band.
“We love you Sam rivers. Please respect the family’s privacy at this moment. 🕊️ give Sam his flowers and play Sam rivers basslines all day ! We are in shock. Rest in power my brother ! You will live on through your music and the lives you helped save with your music , charity work and friendships. We are heartbroken 💔 enjoy every millisecond of life. It’s not guaranteed ✌️,” he wrote.
