Michael Jackson’s sister La Toya Jackson, 69, attended the funeral of her niece-in-law Toyia Jackson on March 3, taking to Instagram to share a video of herself in a glamorous all-black ensemble.
La Toya’s niece, who was the wife of Jackie Jackson’s son, Siggy Jackson, died in February. No cause of death has been released; however, in the years leading up to her passing, she courageously battled cancer, according to her Instagram.

“Sending much love and light that’s much needed today! ❤️💫,” La Toya captioned her Instagram video.
Fans of the Jackson family poured their support into her comments, sending prayers to La Toya and the rest of her loved ones as they shared in the loss of Toyia.

Bigi & Prince Jackson Carry Toyia Jackson’s Casket at Her Funeral
La Toya was joined by her nephews Bigi Jackson, 24, and Prince Jackson, 29, as she attended Toyia’s funeral, held at the Old North Church in Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills. A video of Michael’s devoted sons carrying the casket was later shared on Instagram, where they could be seen alongside several other Jackson family members and Toyia’s closest friends as they carried her casket.
Fans of the Jackson family shared their condolences in the comments of the video. Being that La Toya and Toyia’s names are so similar, there was a slight confusion among fans about who had passed away, with some thinking it was La Toya who was being laid to rest. Nevertheless, the famed family received plenty of love and support as they grieved the devastating loss.

Toyia’s death was announced in February on the official Instagram account for the Jackson family. A heartfelt tribute was shared in her honor, remembering her as a woman of “kindness, strength and grace.” Toyia leaves behind her four young children, Jared, Kai, Skyy and Anai, who will remain in the care of Toyia’s husband, Siggy. “She meant a great deal to our family and leaves a lasting imprint on the hearts of those who knew her, as well as on the broader Jackson legacy,” said a statement provided by the Jackson family. “She will be remembered with love and respect.”
