A frightening moment unfolded outside Pop music and fashion icon Rihanna’s Beverly Hills home Sunday afternoon after a woman allegedly fired several shots toward the property. TMZ reported that Police quickly responded to the scene and took the suspect into custody. The singer was reportedly inside the residence at the time but was not injured.
Authorities Respond to Gunfire Reported Outside Rihanna’s Beverly Hills Home
As per the report, according to law enforcement officials, officers responded to reports of shots fired near the singer’s home shortly after 1:20 p.m. Authorities said multiple rounds were discharged toward the property from a nearby vehicle.
One bullet struck the exterior wall of the mansion and penetrated the structure, according to a law enforcement source familiar with the situation.
Rihanna was reportedly inside the home at the time of the incident but was not injured.
Police Take Suspect Into Custody at the Scene
Officers quickly arrived at the Beverly Hills property and detained a suspect soon after the shooting.
As per the LA Times, Police said a woman believed to be around 30 years old fired several rounds from inside her vehicle toward the home. Officers took the suspect into custody without further incident.
Authorities have not publicly identified the woman, and investigators are still working to determine what led to the shooting.
No Injuries Reported in Frightening Incident
Despite the gunfire, authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported.
As per a report by The LA Times, Los Angeles Police Department Sgt. Jonathan de Vera said officers responded quickly to the scene and determined that no one inside the home had been harmed.
Investigators continue to review the evidence and examine the scene as they work to determine what led to the shooting.
Rihanna resides in the colonial-style Beverly Hills mansion with rapper A$AP Rocky.
The couple shares three young children together, including a daughter and two sons. It remains unclear whether anyone else was inside the home when the shots were fired.
