Musician Yungblud has revealed that he requires multiple surgeries for several different injuries. However, he also suggests that he has no intention of taking a break in the near future. The revelation comes just days after he performed at a concert and crowdsurged while in a wheelchair.
The 29-year-old singer, whose real name is Dominic Harrison, recently shared a voice recording to his social media (via Parade). In it, Yungblud can be heard discussing his current workload and injuries. A second voice can be heard asking him to take a break for his health, which prompts an angry reaction from the musician who makes it clear he has no intention of slowing down.
It has been a difficult few months for Yungblud, who has suffered physical injuries and has candidly opened up about the emotional turmoil he has experienced.
Yungblud Does Not Want To Take Time Off
During the conversation that Yungblud posted online, an unknown voice tells the musician to “take a break this year.” Yungblud then replies by explaining that he doesn’t want to take a break, prompting the other person to say, “who gives a [expletive], we’ve got [expletive] to do.”
The conversation then turns to the surgeries and procedures that the English musician and actor requires in the near future. They say, “You’ve got a knee operation, you’ve got a throat operation, maybe a brain operation.” Yungblud has the final say on the matter, exclaiming, “I don’t want to [expletive] take a break right now.”
The voice note was posted after Yungblud shared footage on social media of him performing in Portugal this week. Continuing his tradition of crowd surfing during the performance of his hit song “Fleabag,” Yungblud dived into the audience. But this time around, he was in a wheelchair following a broken leg he sustained recently.
Yungblud Has Faced A Number of Health Issues
According to NME, the musician suffered a serious leg injury last week in a motorcycle accident. He subsequently posted images online of himself with a heavily bandaged leg while holding crutches. Despite the injury, Yungblud made it clear that he would not be missing any shows and intended to perform as usual.
He said, “Portugal and Belgium I’m comin and it’s gonna be [expletive] mad. See you next week. Let’s ride.”
Yungblud later posted an update, explaining that he had damaged the ligament in his knee. The injury was so bad that it would also require an operation to repair the ligaments, which he plans to have following the completion of his European tour. This is presumably one of the operations mentioned in the voice note.
The singer has also experienced recurring tonsillitis over the last year, with the problem proving bad enough to require the cancellation of some gigs over the summer. A report from Blunt Magazine indicated that doctors were worried the issue could affect his voice and Yungblud had planned to have his tonsils removed in October. He had previously been forced to postpone performances in 2025 after he received medical advice following adverse test results.
The singer blamed the flare-up on jumping almost immediately between a UK tour, American dates and several festivals with little opportunity to recover.
It follows another worrying health episode late last year, when Yungblud canceled the remainder of his 2025 tour after routine blood and voice tests raised concerns.
