On May 29, Netflix premiered its newest reality TV series, “Calabasas Confidential,” which follows a group of young adults with famous parents in the upscale California enclave of Calabasas. Among the cast of fresh faces is 25-year-old Raine Michaels, the daughter of rock legend Bret Michaels of Poison.
While many of the twenty-somethings featured on the show come from wealthy, well-connected families, Raine has found her own way of making money. In fact, she has a one-on-one conversation with her famous rock star dad about her unconventional income stream.
Bret Michaels Shows Support for Daughter Raine’s Side Hustle Selling Feet Photos
GettyOn Netflix’s newest series “Calabasas Confidential,” Raine Michaels, 25, has a heart-to-heart conversation with her dad, Poison rock star Bret Michaels, about her decision to sell photos of her feet to earn an income.
Sitting outside together, Raine shares, “So are you okay with me doing FeetFinder then?”
While some dads may have reservations about their daughters earning money by selling photos of their feet online, Bret was firmly in Raine’s corner. In fact, he called her creative money-making venture “brilliant.”
“I think FeetFinder is a brilliant decision,” he tells her. He then joked about having his own account. “They did mine, and I had negative eleven views. People wanted money back,” he shared as the two laughed and shared I love yous.
When stopped by TMZ, Raine opened up about talking to her dad about her side hustle. “We were having a deep heart-to-heart conversation. He was like, ‘You know, whatever your passions are in life, I’ll support you 100%.’ And I said, ‘Okay, what if I want to do FeetFinder?’ He was like, ‘Woah, woah, woah,’ but he was still supportive,” she shared.
Besides taking photos of her feet, Raine has been working as a model for over 10 years and was featured in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. For over two years, she has been working as a sports broadcaster for The Montag Group, per her LinkedIn.
Raine isn’t the only celebrity offspring opening up her world on the new Netflix series. The cast also includes Preston Pippen, the son of NBA legend Scottie Pippen and RHOM star Larsa Pippen; Jodie Woods, the younger sister of Jordyn Woods; and Hercy Miller, whose father is rap legend Master P.
Raine Opens up About Her Close Bond With Her Rockstar Dad
GettyAs seen on “Calabasas Confidential,” Raine has an incredibly strong bond with her famous father. When asked about the guidance Bret has provided her as she navigates this newfound fame, she shared with “TheDriveIn” podcast, “I think his guidance is something I hold near and dear to my heart.”
She continued, “Seeing what he started from and where he is now, it’s kind of stupid not to take his advice and not to take his guidance just to see the success he’s created in his own life.”
Raine added that sometimes Bret may offer a little too much advice. “But still at the same time, sometimes when he’s like, you know, telling me all this advice, I’m like, ‘Oh my God, shut up, dad.’ I have to take a step back and be like, okay, he does know what he’s talking about.”
In a recent conversation with USA Today Entertainment, Raine shared what it was like growing up with a rockstar as your dad.
“To me, this is all I’ve known. He’s just dad to me,” she began. “I think every dad is a rockstar in their own right. He is such a great dad; he has great advice. He really has lived so many different lives in his own lifetime.”
