Surprise A-Lister Donates $20K to Eric Dane Family Fund

Hailey Bieber is making a meaningful contribution to support the family of late actor Eric Dane.

The Rhode founder donated $20,000 to a GoFundMe established to benefit Dane’s two daughters following his passing at age 53. Bieber was listed as the fundraiser’s third top donor as of February 22, per Page Six. She did not include a public message with her donation, but her contribution quickly drew attention as the campaign continued to gain traction online.

The fundraiser, created by a group identifying themselves as “Friends of the Dane Family,” was launched in the days after Dane’s passing and has since grown significantly.

Hollywood Steps Up With Major Donations

Bieber joins several high-profile names who have stepped up to support the cause. “Euphoria” creator Sam Levinson and his wife, Ashley Levinson, donated $27,000, placing them among the top contributors, per The Hollywood Reporter. An anonymous donor contributed $25,000, while director Brad Falchuk and producer Randall Emmett each gave $10,000.

As of February 22, the campaign had surpassed $300,000 in donations from roughly 3,000 contributors, per the San Francisco Chronicle. The fundraiser initially set a goal of $250,000 but has since increased its target to $500,000 as support continues to pour in.

GoFundMe confirmed to the Chronicle that the campaign completed a routine verification process. During that time, donations were temporarily held. The platform also confirmed that Dane’s widow, Rebecca Gayheart, has been officially added as the beneficiary of the account.

The campaign page states that funds will help provide “stability during this incredibly difficult time” and support the future needs of Dane’s daughters, Billie, 15, and Georgia, 14.

A Community Supporting His Family

Dane’s friends launched the fundraiser to assist with medical expenses tied to his ALS battle and to help secure long-term financial support for his daughters. After publicly announcing his ALS diagnosis in April 2025, Dane used his platform to advocate for awareness and research while continuing to work.

The GoFundMe message notes that as his illness progressed more quickly than expected, friends came together to ensure his daughters would have continued stability in the years ahead.

In a statement shared with People following his passing, Dane’s family said he spent his final days surrounded by loved ones, including Gayheart and their daughters, who were described as “the center of his world.” The statement added that he “will be deeply missed, and lovingly remembered always.”

As donations continue to climb toward the $500,000 goal, the fundraiser reflects a strong show of support from both Hollywood and fans for Dane’s beloved daughters.

  1. So even Rich people don’t have medical insurance.I never thought I’d see a go-fund for Rich people.I do want his children to be taken care of.I know Daddy probably have a couple of life insurance policies somewhere that the Rich wife will cash in on.Nobody is commenting on The “Rich people Go fund” but y’all got plenty of “Smoke” for the poor minority family.Criticizing how “they should have had life insurance.” Well hell more then likely they couldn’t afford it every month. Especially when it comes down to eating ,having electric, paying the water bill ect…Y’all want to condemn poor people for being poor. Not realizing everybody is not going to be Rich anywhere on God’s green earth! All you Rich hypocrites just need to Remember is: “The first will be last and the last will be first.” Now you can bet your last Bitcoin on that !
