When the cast of “Jersey Shore: Family Vacation” packed their bags for one final trip back to the original Seaside Heights house, fans knew they were in for an emotional ride.
But seeing the cast gather around the table for one last Sunday dinner as they closed out their run on MTV made the reality hit home. After years of wild trips, growing up on screen, and sticking together through thick and thin, the series finale marked a bittersweet end to an era that redefined pop culture.
‘Jersey Shore For Life’
The MTV series ended on a sentimental note, bringing the cast back to the Seaside Heights home where they first met in 2012. Mike Sorrentino, Pauly D, Vinny Guadagnino, Nicole Polizzi, Jenni Farley, Deena Cortese, Angelina Pivarnick and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro met as strangers but became a close-knit unit.
In an Instagram post, the series shared, “The Shore House brought them together, but everything that came after made them family. From ‘Jersey Shore’ to ‘Family Vacation,’ the memories really do speak for themselves. Jersey Shore for life.”
Fans reacted to the sentimental post, which included the series’ final moments that aired on MTV.
“Not Me Sobbing Saying “Cabs Are HERE” I’m Having Meatball Problems,” wrote one follower.
A second fan penned, “‘Jersey Shore’ is all of us millennials . We all grew up together but not really cuz we r still just big ole kids. Thanks for the laughs and drama.”
“’Jersey Shore’ Forever has a nice ring to it for a 3rd spin off,” quipped a third Instagram user.
A fourth fan concluded, “We stalked their whole lives on the boardwalk…can’t believe it’s over.”
Is ‘Jersey Shore’ Really Over?
“Jersey Shore” creator SallyAnn Salsano shared her own thoughts on Instagram as the series concluded its run on MTV. Her Instagram remarks covered the series’ entirety, from 2012 through today and teased that fans might not see the last of the series.
She wrote, “I keep thinking back to the beginning of ‘Jersey Shore.’ We picked each of these, funny, completely unique personalities one by one because we saw something special in every one of them. They walked into that house as complete strangers, and somehow, right before our eyes, they became a family.”
Salsano continued, “Now 17 years and 300+ episodes later, I’ve watched them grow up, fall in love, get married, have children, become incredible parents, build businesses and experience so many of life’s biggest moments together. And somehow, I got lucky enough to have a front-row seat for all of it. I’m grateful to this cast for sharing their lives in good times and bad… you are the audience.”
The showrunner concluded, “To our incredible crew at 495 Productions who has poured so much into this show the heartbeat, to MTV for believing in all of us, and to the fans who have ridden alongside us for all these years…..thank you. You became part of this family too.”
“I wouldn’t change a thing. Tonight we close this chapter. But anyone who knows this family knows one thing for sure…You can’t keep them away from each other for long. Stay tuned.”
