“Modern Family” fans are getting the reunion they’ve been hoping for as Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet finally come back together. The longtime on-screen partners reunited for Ferguson’s “Dinner’s On Me” podcast, marking Stonestreet’s much-anticipated appearance and giving fans a fresh dose of the chemistry that made Mitch and Cam such beloved characters.
An Exciting Reunion
Jesse Tyler Ferguson debuted his “Dinner’s on Me with Jesse Tyler Ferguson” podcast in May 2023. “Modern Family” fans have been waiting for the day that Eric Stonestreet made his guest appearance on the pod.
This is especially true since every other “Modern Family” cast member has been on the show: Ed O’Neill, Julie Bowen, Nolan Gould, Rico Rodriguez, Sofía Vergara, Ty Burrell, Sarah Hyland, Ariel Winter, and Aubrey Anderson-Emmons have all made appearances.
Stonestreet made the big announcement in an Instagram post, which included several photos from their reunion.
Stonestreet captioned the photos with, “Well, @jessetyler finally twisted my arm enough to come onto his podcast. Dinner’s On Me drops tomorrow Jan 13.”
For this podcast, the filming takes place at a restaurant of the guests’ choosing. Stonestreet happened to choose one of his favorite places to eat in Los Angeles.
He continued, “We recorded it at a place I’ve eaten at more times in the last 27 years than I care to admit, Tony’s Mexican Grill in Sherman Oaks. #mitchandcam.”
Stonestreet jokingly used an app to make Ferguson look older in that first photo, which Ferguson joked about in the comments, “The lighting in this place you pick for us to go is terrible for me. The episode is out for subscribers today and everyone can listen tomorrow!”
‘Modern Family’ Fans Loving This Reunion
The excitement was everywhere for this reunion of Mitch and Cam on the “Dinner’s on Me” podcast. Fans were quick to jump into the comments to share that excitement.
