The “Today Show” will look a bit different after today, Friday, January 9, as it says goodbye to one of its beloved team members

Craig Melvin Praises His Colleague

Brittany Bosner is responsible for booking music for the show, a role she has held for 15 years. Craig Melvin took to Instagram to pay tribute to her, wish her well on her future endeavors, and also share how much she will be missed. “Brittany, The TODAY Show won’t be the same without you. 15 years. One incredible legacy,” Melvin wrote. “From countless music and Broadway performances to so many unforgettable Citi Summer Concert Series moments, your impact is everywhere.”

He continued, “Thank you for being such an amazing colleague, friend, and force behind the scenes. You will be missed dearly. Cheers to your next chapter!”

In the photo accompanying Melvin’s heartfelt words, he is posing with Bosner and weathercasters Al Roker and Dylan Dreyer. The tribute shares a glimpse into the closeness of all those involved in the making of the “Today Show” and how they become great friends over the years they spend together.

Fans have shown their support in the comment section with loving messages and well-wishes for Bosner. “Well done Britt Boz!!,” Jason Kennedy wrote. Other reactions include, “The best!!!!,” “Amazing run, @britt.boz,” and “We love you so much Britt!!”

“My hope is very simple: to just not screw it up,” he joked. “The ‘Today Show’ has been around for more than 70 years now. No one wants to be the guy steering the ship when it runs aground. I basically want to continue the tradition that’s been established.”

At the time, he also expressed his excitement about working with Savannah Guthrie. He said it was what he was “most excited” for. “A pro’s pro, the gold standard,” he said. “She’s become like the big sister I never had growing up, and to be able to start this new chapter with her, it’s pretty exciting.”

When his new position was announced in an Instagram post by Vicky Nguyen on November 14, 2024, she shared some fun facts. These include, “He worked his way up from camera man in local news,” and “He worked his way up from camera man in local news.”
