Jen Shah Responds to Emma Stone’s ‘RHOSLC’ Comments

Jen Shah of “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” fame responded to recent comments by Oscar-winner Emma Stone. The “Bugonia” actress admitted to waiting outside of Shah’s sentencing in New York City in 2023. A judge assigned the “RHOSLC” alum to 78 months in prison due to her running a “nationwide telemarketing fraud scheme.”

Jen is ‘So Touched’ by Emma’s Dedication

Shah responded to Stone’s comments through a statement released by her manager, Chris Giovanni, to PEOPLE.

“Wow, I’m genuinely so touched that Emma Stone, who I’ve admired for so long, took the time to wait out in the cold for me,” she said.

Shah added that Stone’s dedication is “just incredible,” appearing thankful for the actress’ commitment to both her and “RHOSLC.”

“I’d love the chance to thank her in person one day,” she added.

Shah then referenced Stone’s 2014 appearance on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon,” where she lip synced to DJ Khaled’s “All I Do is Win.” Shah called the performance “iconic” and said that she would be interested in remaking the late-night talk show clip.

“That would be Shahmazing!” quipped the reality star.

Emma Waited Outside of Jen’s Sentencing

When asked about her favorite reality television show in a January interview with W Magazine, Stone responded by saying that she is “really invested” in “RHOSLC.”

“When Jen Shah was getting sentenced in New York, my brother and I waited outside for two hours in the freezing cold just for a chance to see her,” Stone said.

Because the actress lives in New York, she was able to “walk over there” to catch a glimpse of the situation, which took place in Manhattan federal court.

“[Shah] getting arrested on camera was wild,” she added.

Stone also recognized “RHOSLC” star Bronwyn Newport. She remarked that “you’ve never seen anyone dress like this in real life.

“Everything is sort of a costume,” she continued.

Jen is Out of Prison

Shah was granted an early release from a federal prison on December 10, 2025. She served only 33 months out of her initial 78 month sentencing due to “good behavior” and paying back the victims that she scammed. Shah will complete the rest of her sentence in “community confinement,” or rather “house arrest” from her home in Utah.

“She’s done a lot of reflecting and real growth during her time away, and is genuinely not the same woman as she was before,” said Giovanni in November after learning of Shah’s early release.

  1. I find it absolutely reprehensible that anyone would applaud this woman. She scammed and targeted the ELDERLY out of their life savings just to fund her selfish lavish lifestyle.
And by the remarks in this article, appears to have zero remorse. Hopefully Andy won’t put this FELON back on TV. He did it with RHONJ and it did not end well at all
