Porsha Williams Makes Honest Comments About Kenya Moore’s RHOA Exit

Season 17 of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” is ongoing, with Porsha Williams serving as one of the show’s anchors. Now, in a brand-new interview with Carlos King, she’s opening up about Kenya Moore’s much-talked-about exit from RHOA and why she didn’t feel pressure to prop up the show in Moore’s absence.

As fans know, Williams returned to RHOA for season 16 after a three-year hiatus. Notably, fans were excited to see the dynamic between her and Moore. However, the former Miss USA was suspended during filming.

During a portion of Williams’s hour-plus conversation on the “Reality With The King” podcast, King asked the “RHOA” star to reflect on being among the last ones standing, so to speak, from the show’s early days. For context, Williams, as did Moore, joined “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” during season five.

She said, “Because I never would have foreseen NeNe not being here. I never would have foreseen Kenya not being here. Kandi, I never would have foreseen it because we were such a sisterhood. Such a family.

And outside of a family, we were the business of Bravo, and I just knew that we would always be doing this together. You don’t see an end to it.”

Williams went on, “We owned it. It was our house.” After that, Williams stated that she hopes she’s “a good keeper of the house,” before saying in case NeNe Leakes, Kandi Burruss, or Moore ever returned. Still, even if neither lady returns, she wants to keep the legacy going forward.

Regarding Moore, King asked Williams if she felt “nervous” about “carrying” the show after her suspension. She responded, “No, it didn’t, and not because Kenya didn’t have an impact.” Williams explained, “When it comes to Kenya, having to leave, it did hurt me. It did. Because I thought we were able to just meet each other in a different space.”

Porsha Discusses Her ‘RHOA’ Legacy

Elsewhere in the conversation, King asked Williams whether, early in her time on “RHOA,” she believed she would one day become the face of the show.

According to her, “I knew that I was bigger than my circumstances.” From there, she reflected on her years on RHOA, calling herself “a loner,” stating that she was never asked to be included in any alliances with the cast.

Williams also called herself a “floater” as her dynamics with the cast changed over time. Answering the question, Williams said, “I just knew I would be successful.”

Moore hasn’t appeared in a new episode of RHOA since early 2025 after appearing in only six episodes from season 16. Since leaving, she’s spoken about the show, including when the reunion was filmed in June 2025.

She said on X, “I’m disappointed to not be a part of the #RHOA 16 reunion taping today. Please know I take full accountability for my actions and deeply apologize to all those affected, including Brittney, the cast, crew, guests, and viewers. I look forward to seeing you all back on Bravo soon.”

However, in the meantime, according to Reality Tea, Moore is among several beloved reality stars rumored to be part of a new Amazon series. It’s currently unclear when it will air.
