The “Real Housewives of Potomac” has returned to Bravo for its tenth season, with several of the ladies sharing updates about their personal lives. Ashley Darby is just one of them. She separated from Michael Darby in April 2022, and their divorce was a long time coming.
Ashley told Entertainment Tonight in a recent interview that neither she nor her ex, Michael, is pleased with how their divorce ultimately ended.
Ashley Gives an Update on Her Divorce
NBC UniversalAshley has been relatively vocal about not being thrilled with the final terms of her divorce. Now, seven months after the terms have been finalized, the reality star discussed the situation. โMy divorce lawyer, Maria [Simon] โ shoutout to Maria, sheโs amazing โ she did say that a sign of a good divorce is that nobody is happy,โ Ashley said during the premiere of season 10 of RHOP. โSo neither of us was super happy. It was fair.โ
Things may not have turned out exactly as she was hoping for, but the reality star insists that she’s in a great place now.
โIโm living my best life,โ she explained. โItโs actually amazing that Iโm taking on this next chapter of life with so much more confidence. Before I was separated, I just didnโt know what life on this side was gonna look like, and I was so scared. I was like, โAm I ready for this? Am I making a mistake? Are my kids gonna be OK? Are they gonna feel like theyโre different at school?โ You know, just all those what-ifs, they kept me up all night. But now your girl is sleeping peacefully.โ
The former couple shares two children together: a 6-year-old son, Dean Darby, and his 4-year-old brother, Dylan Darby.
Ashley’s Dating Life Is Busy These Days
NBC Universal
Ashley recently shared with Entertainment Tonight that she has fully embraced dating again.
โItโs so complicated. No one told me that dating was this hard. Dating was so easy when I was younger. I had my pick of the litter. I saw the man that I wanted to marry; I was like, โThatโs gonna be my husband.โ He became my husband. But now itโs like all these mind games, online dating, itโs such a rigmarole. And I have kids. So all these things are making it so much more challenging, but Iโm enjoying it.โ
The reality star admits to having a handful of potential suitors to choose from. Cuffing season is coming, and Ashley doesn’t really want to spend the upcoming holiday season alone.
โEspecially because itโs getting cold outside, big holiday events are coming up, and I need dates to events. And Josh [Gudenburr] (her most recent flame) may or may not be one of those dates.”
