Season 6 of the “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” is off to a flying start with the cast trip that no one knew they needed. Angie and Mary team up to take the ladies on an RV trip to Provo Canyon, which is a far cry from the luxury that they were all expecting. Lisa decides to sit this one out, but she’s the constant topic of conversation anyway. Heather and Bronwyn try to play nice along the way, and Whitney ends up sharing some painful news after fighting with Britani.

Here’s a full recap of the premiere episode of Season 6 of RHOSLC!

The first episode of Season 6 of RHOSLC begins with a montage of all the ladies from previous seasons having fun, accompanied by a voiceover from Mary Cosby. She speaks about how friendship takes time, but when trust is broken, then fear takes over. The montage then transitions to a mashup of the cast fighting on multiple occasions. She says that is how the witch hunt begins.

Next, Angie rolls up in a party bus to pick up Mary for their “Class A Getaway.” Mary takes one look at her and asks why she looks like she’s ready for business. As it turns out, Angie is into RV living, and she’s ready to convince her castmates that it can be fun. Teague will be their driver for most of the trip, but Mary is less than sure about the idea. She grew up in RVs and doesn’t love the idea of having to squish into one with eight other adults. The catch is that the rest of the ladies have no idea what Angie and Mary have planned for them. In fact, they believe they are all about to embark on a luxurious vacation together, rather than sleeping in an RV.

The Trip Nobody Asked For

Whitney, Meredith, Bronwyn, Britani, and Heather are all outside of the Beauty Lab waiting for Mary and Angie to arrive. They are circling through possibilities, trying to figure out where they are going, when Meredith says that Lisa won’t be joining them.

This is when Heather decides to give us an update on all of their friendship. Meredith can’t stand Britani, Heather isn’t a fan of Bronwyn, and no one knows how Mary feels about anyone. Then, Angie, Whitney, and Bronwyn are all on the outs with Lisa. That means that there are five active disputes between the ladies, and they are about to get in an RV together!

Needless to say, the ladies are furious to see Angie and Mary drive up with an RV. Britani actually arrived in a bikini, which doesn’t look like it’ll get much use on this trip. Bronwyn admits to being a germophobe, so she is immediately freaked out on the bus. Once everyone boards and finds a seat inside, they realize they are surrounded by what appears to be a SWAT team.

Heather points out the PTSD of the moment, as an officer asks for Whitney Rose. She gets off the bus and is handcuffed before it is made very clear that these officers are actually strippers. Whitney admits that once she found out that they were departing from Beauty Lab, she had to pull a prank on everyone. After a dance party with the strippers, the ladies hit the road.

Lisa’s Presence Is Felt, Constantly

The ladies have about an hour to drive to their surprise location, and, of course, Lisa is brought up. We flashback to Angie taking a call from Lisa, where she admits to not wanting to spend the night with Bronwyn, whom she calls a pathological liar and psychotic. Then Lisa also says that she has a work thing too. Whitney doesn’t believe that Lisa is working, which causes Britani to defend her friend. She calls attention to all the rumors surrounding Whitney’s businesses, and the two immediately start to argue. The silence that follows Whitney’s question to Britani about how she makes her money is palpable, and then they fight some more.

The ladies finally arrive at Provo Resort RV park to camp in the mud. As Mary says, “We’re not just in nature, we’re in the trenches. It looks like it’s haunted.” Whitney is shocked that bougie Mary would plan a trip like this. They sit down together at an outdoor table filled with sandwiches. Britani decides to crack out a bunch of camcorders so that they can make old-school videos of their trip.

Is Lisa Really Broke?

The conversation turns to Lisa’s absence. Heather points out that if it was really a work thing that prevented her from showing up, then they could have changed the dates. They then discuss the rumors they have heard about Lisa owing $400,000 in loans, and how she insists that they are all lies. Bronwyn pushes back against that and tells the group that she has heard of five lawsuits against Lisa and that the issues haven’t been settled yet. She also mentions how Lisa calls everyone in the group a liar, but then ducks questions about her own life.

Heather has seen all of the allegations about Lisa, even in the Salt Lake City newspapers, but she still wants to defend her friend. Angie says that Lisa’s bad business is similar to the things that Jen Shah did, and the other ladies jump on her. Meredith points out that the charges against Lisa are civil. The state of Utah isn’t pursuing criminal charges against her, unlike Jen Shah. Heather and Bronwyn go in circles about Lisa, and Angie points out that Lisa has something vicious to say about every one of them.

Meredith closes out the conversation by suggesting that actually discuss it with Lisa.

Mary Thinks You Can Do CPR on a Fish

Britani then breaks the news that she and Jared got engaged, and then called it off two weeks later. She insists that they are still seeing each other, but Whitney has a different perspective on the situation. She says that she sees Jared in the gym cafe all the time, and that he introduces her to his dates. Britani seems shocked by the news, but no one else wants to continue the conversation.

Angie shares that she has two activities planned: fly fishing, which receives a dead-silent reaction, and kayaking. Angie, Mary, Britani, and Meredith decide to go fly fishing together, while Heather, Whitney, and Bronwyn go kayaking. Whitney pairs Heather and Bronwyn together in the two-person kayak, hoping they can work out their issues. They realize that if they pay attention to their surroundings, they can get along.

Meanwhile, Angie is connecting with nature and enjoying it. Mary is more concerned with figuring out how to resurrect a fish once they catch it. Their guides tell her that it’s not possible, but Mary still believes that CPR can be done on a fish.

Whitney’s Business Tanked

The ladies return to their RV and start a campfire. Angie tells them that they will cook their dinner themselves. They manage to make some hot dogs, but Angie forgets nearly everything else, like the buns. They are also freaked out by legends about Provo Canyon and the murders that have taken place there.

As they are sitting around the fire, Lisa comes up again. They start to discuss who has issues with her, and Britani, out of the blue, starts to fight with Whitney. They go in circles until Whitney blurts out that she and Justin did a bad business deal that has left them with nothing.

She doesn’t have a business in legal turmoil; it simply failed, leaving her to fire 30 employees. She lost millions and failed her family. Whitney says that she is cleaning up the mess and taking responsibility for his mistakes. This is why she is mad at Lisa, because she tends to hide everything instead of finding support when things fall apart. The ladies rally around Whitney and start discussing the ways their businesses have also tanked. While the mood of the trip so far has been a rollercoaster, day one ends on a positive note.
