Rick Harrison, the star of the History Channel reality series “Pawn Stars,” has been discharged from the hospital and is recovering at home after undergoing emergency bypass surgery, according to a spokesperson for his family.
His Family Shared a Statement on His Recovery
“Today, Rick was discharged from the hospital and is now resting at home. By all accounts, he’s now doing great,” the Harrison family spokesperson told TMZ on Sept. 7.
Harrison, 60, initially went to the hospital for what was expected to be a routine stent procedure. Doctors discovered a more serious condition during the procedure and determined that he needed bypass surgery instead.
His family previously said Harrison was resting comfortably and looking forward to a full recovery, with his wife, Angie Polushkin, and other family members by his side.
Harrison Recently Got Married
Polushkin, 42, is Harrison’s new wife. The couple married in January at the Little White Chapel in Las Vegas, with an Elvis Presley impersonator presiding over the fun ceremony.
In a joint statement to PEOPLE following their wedding, Harrison and Polushkin said they “are so excited to start this next chapter as husband and wife and celebrate with friends and family in Las Vegas.”
“It has been such an adventure already, and we are looking forward to all of it,” they added.
The two also had a small reception at his restaurant, Rick’s Rollin Smoke BBQ & Tavern.
Harrison also spoke with TMZ after the January ceremony, saying: “I’m happy we’ve made it official and excited for our celebration in Cancun later this month.”
He later shared images from the Cancun wedding to Instagram.
“My dream beach wedding came true on 1/26/26. I married the most loving, caring, and supportive man l’ve ever met and the one that treats me like a princess every single day. Love you always & forever,” he wrote.
The images showed their stunning beach wedding, where there were surrounded by their friends and family.
The wedding followed the couple’s engagement in March 2025.
Harrison announced the engagement on Instagram, sharing photographs of himself proposing to Polushkin beneath a tree at a vineyard in Casablanca, Chile.
“She said yes!” Harrison wrote in the caption.
He shared three images from their special day.
Polushkin also shared images from the proposal on Instagram.
Her post was set to the song “I Said Yes” by Sunny Bloom and included photographs from the couple’s trip to the Chilean winery.
“We toured a beautiful winery in Chile and Rick got down on one knee 🥰,” Polushkin wrote.
Harrison became widely known through “Pawn Stars,” which follows his family’s business, the World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas.
The series, which premiered in 2009, centers on the Harrison family and the customers who bring items to the shop to sell or pawn.
For now, Harrison is continuing his recovery at home, as fans continue to wish him a speedy recovery. His family has indicated that he is doing well following the surgery.
