‘The Traitors’ UK Star Bravely Reveals Cancer Diagnosis After ‘No Symptoms’

A contestant from “The Traitors” UK is opening up about a deeply personal health battle, sharing a diagnosis that came before his time on the hit reality series. Ben, who appeared on the latest season of the BBC show, revealed in a recent social media post that he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer before applying for the competition.

The 66-year-old said the news came as a shock and has since shaped his journey both on and off screen.

Reality Star Ben Opens Up About Private Cancer Battle

Speaking in a TikTok video, Ben said, “I was diagnosed with prostate cancer before I applied and was cast on The Traitors. Since then, prostate cancer has been confirmed as the most common cancer in the UK. Men are being diagnosed at an all-time high.”

Ben explained that his diagnosis came as a shock, as he had not experienced any warning signs beforehand.

“I never had any symptoms, and people now tell me I am lucky that I was diagnosed. I tend to agree, as I am under the NHS and they treat me every three months. I get tested to make sure my cancer is under control,” he said, as reported by Mirror UK.

He also used his platform to highlight the importance of screening, noting that prostate cancer currently lacks a full national screening program.

Co-Stars Rally Around Ben With Messages of Support

Following his announcement, Ben received an outpouring of support from fellow contestants and viewers.

Rachel Duffy, who won the series alongside Stephen Libby, wrote, “Ben, you are amazing.”

Roxy Wilson added, “Love to you, Ben, great that you’re raising much-needed awareness here.”

Fiona Hughes also shared her support, writing, “Sending you lots of cwtches, Ben – so lovely of you to share your story and raise awareness.”

Co-star Hugo D Bailey also shared his support, writing, “more power to you mate 💪 raising awareness so important 🙌”.

Ben’s Journey on ‘The Traitors’ and Life Beyond the Show

During his time on “The Traitors,” Ben competed as a Faithful but was eliminated early after being “murdered,” placing 20th out of 24 contestants.

While his run on the show was brief, his story has taken on a far deeper meaning beyond the game. As he continues treatment, Ben’s experience now reflects a much more personal fight unfolding away from the cameras.

By speaking openly about his diagnosis, Ben is using his platform to raise awareness and remind others to take their health seriously, even when there are no visible warning signs.
