Alicia Coppola is best known to soap opera fans for her role as Lorna Devon on “Another World.” From 1991 to 1994, the actress played Felicia Gallant’s (Linda Dano) devious daughter.
While Lorna and Felicia often had a contentious relationship, it was the opposite for Coppola and Dano. The “Jericho” actress recently reunited with her soap opera mom, and it has fans buzzing.
Long-standing Friendship
GettyWhen Coppola joined “Another World,” she didn’t realize how much it’d change her life. The actress became a soap opera sensation when she was cast as Felicia’s long-lost daughter.
During her tenure on the former NBC soap opera, Coppola entertained viewers with her performance as the vixenish Lorna. Onscreen Lorna and her mother feuded before they finally made peace and formed a bond.
In real-life, Coppola instantly bonded with Dano, and the two stars have kept in touch throughout the years. Recently, the actresses had a reunion that brought back fond memories for “Another World” fans.
On May 4th, Coppola posted photos of her and her husband Anthony Jones visiting Dano at her Connecticut home. “Nothing caps off a trip home quite like a trip for Anthony and I to visit #Mama #LindaDano #anotherworld,” Coppola captioned the Instagram post.
Seeing Coppola and Dano reunited was a treat for soap fans, who flooded the post with comments. “Perfect since today is the anniversary of the premiere or Another World 😍🌍,” wrote one user.
“Aww, Lorna and Felicia. Yours remains my all-time favorite mother-daughter relationship on daytime soaps❤️,” one fan wrote.
“This makes me so 😊!!! Lorna and Felicia was the vibe of my childhood summers watching Another World with my mom and sister ❤️,” one soap viewer replied.
Life After Soaps

Coppola’s three years on “Another World” paved the way for a long career for the actress. Since leaving the soap opera in 1994, she’s been cast in many films and primetime TV shows.
Some of her famous credits include Mimi Clark on the post-apocalyptic series “Jericho” and as Sue in the Showtime drama “Shameless.” She also shared the big screen with Nicolas Cage in the 2007 film “National Treasure: Book of Secrets.”
In 2016, she briefly returned to daytime TV with her role as Dr. Meredith Gates on “The Young and the Restless”. Her character was a prison doctor, who begins a romance with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) when he’s locked up.
Meanwhile, Dano remained on “Another World” until the show’s cancellation in 1999. Afterwards she would reprise her role as Rae Cummings on “One Life to Live” and later did crossovers on “All My Children” and “General Hospital.”
Dano would then go on to have a brief role on “Guiding Light” and later played Vivian Alamain on “Days of Our Lives.” Her last role came in the 2021 Hallmark film “A Little Daytime Drama,” co-starring Jen Lilley and Ryan Paevey.
Since then, Dano has retired to her home in Connecticut, where she enjoys a quiet life and visits from friends, including Coppola.
