‘Days of Our Lives’ Star Says Goodbye to Soap as New Show Scores Big Win

Days of Our Lives” young star Alice Halsey (Rachel) is saying goodbye to the show as she embarks on a new venture. The actress is playing the lead role in the Netflix reboot of “Little House on the Prairie,” which was given a release date jsut as Halsey has her final appearance as Rachel on the hit Peacock soap.


Alice Halsey Says Goodbye to ‘Days of Our Lives’

Taking to Instagram, the talented young soap star revealed her final air date as Rachel will be on March 5. Due to the advanced filming schedule for “Days of Our Lives,” Halsey filmed her final episode early last summer.

In her social media share, Halsey posted a carousel of photos about her exit from the show she was only part of for nine months. Halsey posed in pictures with Deidre Hall (Marlena), Eric Martsolf (Brady), Stacy Haiduk (Kristen), Leo Howard (Tate), Cary Christopher (Thomas), and Rachel Boyd (Sophia). Those were the cast members she worked with the most during her time in Salem.

“It was not easy to say goodbye to my friends in the cast and crew who had become like family. I will be forever grateful for the privilege to play such a fascinating, complicated character and to be a part of this epic story. Thank you to everyone at Days – I miss you guys!! – and to all of the incredible fans for your support of my turn as Rachel Black!” she wrote as her caption.

Her time on “Days of Our Lives” may not have been that long, but it had a huge impact on Halsey, as did she on fans with her portrayal of Rachel. Halsey won’t be off the small screen for long, as her next project has just been given a release date.


Alice Halsey’s ‘Little House on the Prairie’ Scores Big News

The 10-year-old actress left the soap for a very good reason. Halsey’s starring in the reboot of “Little House on the Prairie.” Hot on the heels of her “Days of Our Lives” final episode news, Halsey shared that “Little House on the Prairie” scored a Season 2 renewal and a premiere date for Season 1.

Netflix dropped the major news all in one day. Season 1 of “Little House on the Prairie” will premiere on July 9, and Season 2 will begin production in a few weeks.

The reboot follows the original series of the same name, which starred Melissa Gilbert as Laura, based on the books by Laura Ingalls Wilder. Halsey is leading the “Little House on the Prairie” reboot, stepping into the role of Laura.

Skywalker Hughes plays Mary Ingalls, Luke Bracey plays Charles Ingalls, and Crosby Fitzgerald plays Caroline Ingalls in the new nine-part Netflix series.
