Kelly Ripa Reveals She Underwent ‘Booty Microneedling’ — The Result Wasn’t What She Expected

Kelly Ripa isn’t afraid to get a little touch up here and there when she thinks it might benefit her body. That’s why the 55-year-old star just revealed that she underwent microneedling — and while others might have the treatment done on their face, the TV host and former soap opera star had it done on her, er, backside.

‘Desperate Times Call for Desperate Measures,’ Kelly Joked

“Oh wait, you got microneedling?” Ripa asked guest, “Euphoria” and “The White Lotus” actor Lukas Gage, during an interview for the March 31 episode of her “Let’s Talk Off Camera” podcast. She then revealed, “I did that on my [butt] cheeks.”

A “trendy skincare treatment,” according to E! News, the Cleveland Clinic explains that “[m]icroneedling is a minimally invasive procedure using thin needles. The procedure can help reduce the appearance of skin concerns such as acne scars, stretch marks or wrinkles.”

Unfortunately for Ripa, “the results of her booty microneedling,” as E! calls it, “didn’t prove to be very successful.”

“I’m gonna tell you something,” Ripa said before describing the state of her backside after the treatment, noting, “Just as old as before.”

Granted, she added with a laugh, “Desperate times call for desperate measures.”

There’s One Procedure that Kelly Won’t Undergo

Although Ripa has tried microneedling, she isn’t willing to have a different procedure done. During the July 15, 2025 episode of the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast, the star noted, “I’ve gone to more breast augmentation consults than I would like to admit. Every time I hear about the new boob guy, I go and I have a consult.”

“They always say all the right things and do all the right things,” she continued while talking about the people she sees during the consults. However, she also explained why she chooses not to undergo a breast augmentation, saying, “Because our cell phones listen to us, it pops up. And I scroll through, like, so many horror stories of boob jobs.”

Beyond that, Ripa said, “Here’s the reality, because all of my friends — or a majority of my friends — have had breast augmentation. And they’ve had multiple because every 10 years or so, you have to, like, swap them out.”

“So let’s say I get them at 55. Right? That means at 65, I have to swap them out,” she pointed out. “At 75, I’m on my second pair? Let’s say I live to 85, I’m going under the knife again?“
