Just weeks after making his debut as the new host of “Australian Survivor,” seasoned reality TV champion David Genat revealed that he’s gearing up to take on yet another competition series.
While chatting to PEDESTRIAN.TV, Genat – better known as the “Golden God” – opened up about his interest in competing on a future season of Peacock’s “The Traitors,” adding that he’s already been offered the opportunity.
“It’s crossed my desk quite a few times,” he revealed. “[The show’s host] Alan Cumming is amazing, so it would be very cool to be a part of that zeitgeist.”

NBCThanks to the growing popularity of “Australian Survivor” amongst U.S. viewers, plenty of reality TV fans are familiar with David Genat’s ability to dominate competitions with his unique blend of brute strength and psychological warfare.
After playing “Australian Survivor” three times, and taking home the title of “Sole Survivor” in 2020, Genat made reality TV history on the cast of NBC’s “Deal or No Deal Island” last year after winning $5.8 million — the largest cash prize ever awarded on network television.
Photo by NBCWhile Genat no doubt has the chops to succeed on a show like “The Traitors,” his new gig as the host of “Australian Survivor” could potentially make the appearance a logistical nightmare.
“We’d definitely have to ask Dad and Mum,” he said, referring to “Australian Survivor” network Channel 10.
“A lot of it would come down to filming schedules because we’ve got a lot of filming to do this year,” Genat, who’s already started working on his second season as a host. “But I would love to do it.”

Photo by NBCFor David, adding “The Traitors” to his reality resume isn’t just another notch in the belt, either, he’s genuinely obsessed with the show and its format.
“I love that show. I think it’s an amazing show,” he said. “I love strategy game shows, and I think ‘The Traitors’ is just so cool.”
He even reported that he’s already swapped notes with “Survivor” legend and former “Traitors” star, Parvati Shallow, to create the perfect gameplay to help him win the show.
Genat’s friendship with Shallow is well established, with the duo having competed against each other on both “Survivor: Australia vs. The World” and “Deal or No Deal Island” last year.
“The Traitors” is expected to return for its fifth season in January 2027, welcoming an all-new batch of celebrities and reality stars. Will David Genat be amongst their ranks? Stay tuned for further updates.
