The highly anticipated premier of “Survivor 49” is just a few short weeks away! While a brand new batch of 18 castaways prepare to outwit, outplay and outlast for the chance to win the title of “Sole Survivor” and a $1 million grand prize, another group of content creator players are preparing to embark on their own island journey on the cast of “Survivor: Influencer Island.”
Coming to the “Survivor” YouTube channel on Thursday, September 18, the miniseries will see eight influencers, including content creators, reality stars and “Survivor” superfans as they participate in a 48-hour version of the game.
What is ‘Survivor: Influencer Island’?
In an email promoting “Survivor: Influencer Island” CBS wrote: “What do a winner of ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race,’ a MrBeast castmate, a Barstool employee, and a Forbes-featured beauty guru have in common? Yes, they obviously have millions of followers…but did you know they are ‘Survivor’ superfans??”
“Eight content creators packed their buffs and headed to Fiji for a whirlwind 48-hour adventure in true ‘Survivor’ fashion,” the network continued. “Putting their survival skills to the test, these influencers became a tribe, made fire, battled for immunity and even weathered a wild island storm.”
The single-episode event was filmed in Fiji – at the same time as “Survivor 49” – in April 2025.
