On Saturday, March 27, “Survivor 46” champion Kenzie Petty took to Instagram to reveal that she’d been hospitalized after her car was rear-ended earlier this week.
The news follows just months after the 31-year-old “Sole Survivor” announced that she was pregnant with her second child in September 2025.
While Petty has since confirmed that both she and the baby – due to arrive in May 2026 – are safe and sound following the accident, she urged her followers to take extra precautions while driving “cuz you truly never know when it’s gonna happen to you, and it happens fast.”

“Hey, so just a PSA for everyone to really pay attention when you’re driving cuz I got rear-ended and ended up in the hospital!!!” Petty wrote on Instagram beneath a series of selfies captured from her hospital bed.
She confirmed in the caption that she’s since returned home to rest “after almost 32 hours” in the hospital.
Despite her relief that neither herself nor her unborn child were injured in the crash, Petty revealed that she’s experienced “some scary moments” over the last few days, adding that her doctors will be “keeping a close eye” on her for the rest of her pregnancy.
“It’s hard to be a funny haha girl when things go now funny haha very quick,” she added alongside an ultrasound of her upcoming little one.
Petty first announced that she and her husband, Jackson, were expecting their second child last September. She shared the news on Instagram alongside a carousel of photos featuring her 12-month-old son, Beau, and the words “Big Brother.”
The salon owner concluded her recent post with a “shoutout” to her doula, her family, her clients, and her husband, “Jackson, for being the best husband and partner in the entire universe and holding it down.”
Petty similarly thanked her “midwives, providers & the incredible nurses on call for all the informed care, and my friends who checked in with endless support along the way.”

“Oh my gosh Kenzie. So glad you’re okay!!!!!!” added “Survivor 48” winner Kyle Fraser, while Petty’s Season 46 co-star Jamie Lynn Ruiz wrote, “So happy you are both safe!”
“Gosh this is terrible,” wrote two-time “Survivor” winner Sandra Diaz-Twine. “Sending positive recovery vibes your way.”
