After ‘Breaking Up’ with ‘Survivor’ Parvati Shallow is Looking to Play the Love Game

After emerging victorious from “Survivor: Australia vs. the World” earlier this month, 42-year-old Parvati Shallow announced that she’s officially “retired” from the Emmy-winning reality competition series. The news comes after the legendary castaway completed her fifth competitive appearance on the franchise, making “Survivor” history as thrid player to win the show twice.

With the title of “Greatest ‘Survivor’ Player of All Time” firmly in her back pocket, what’s next for the reality star? Quite a lot, actually! In addition to revealing that she’s working on a new book project – following the release of her debut memoir “Nice Girls Don’t Win” in July – and a brand new reality competition series in the works, Shallow similarly revealed that she’s on the hunt for love as she enters this post-”Survivor” chapter of her life.

A Closer Look at ‘Survivor’ Star Parvati Shallow’s Dating History

Following her initial appearance on “Survivor: Cook Islands” when she was just 22 years old, Parvati quickly established her flirtatious and dangerous reputation on-screen. Off-screen, Shallow’s undeniable allure reportedly saw her enter into brief romantic flings with several of her “Survivor” co-stars, including Ozzy Lusth, Nathan Gonzales and James Gonzales.

In 2013, after celebrating winning the $1 million grand prize on “Survivor: Micronesia – Fans vs. Favorites,” Parvati started dating “Survivor: Samoa” alum John Fincher. By July 2017 the duo had officially tied the knot, welcoming their daughter, Ama, shortly after their nuptials. In 2020, when Parvati returned for her fourth “Survivor” appearance on “Winners at War,” both Fincher and Ama appeared in Fiji as part of a family visit for the competing castaways.

By the next year, however, Shallow had filed for divorce, filing a domestic violence restraining order against Fincher.

Two years later, after appearing on Peacock’s “The Traitors,” Parvati came out publicly as  queer, announcing that she had started dating comedian Mae Martin in March 2023. The duo’s relationship was unfortunately short-lived, however, with Shallow later revealing that they had gone their separate ways in June 2024.

Parvati Reveals Her Rules for Dating After ‘Survivor’ Fame

Since then, Parvati has been busy, competing on shows like “Deal or No Deal Island” and “Survivor: Australia vs. the World,” launching her debut memoir, and developing her own reality show. But now, basking in the light of her recent history-making victory, Shallow told Out Magazine she’s once again on the hunt for love.

Dating in the public eye, however, can be a challenge.

“I will only meet people in person or be set up by people who know me and what kind of person I’m into,” said Parvati, who added that she doesn’t use dating apps for fear of being noticed by LGBTQ+ “Survivor” superfans.

“I’m not gonna risk dating any normie fans,” she added.
