Martha Stewart is putting herself forward as the “ultimate wedding planner” for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce following the couple’s engagement announcement.
The 84-year-old lifestyle icon posted a split-screen on Instagram featuring a photo from Swift and Kelce’s engagement shoot alongside a video of herself sipping white wine, which she playfully called “the nectar of the Gods.” In the caption, she wrote: “🚨 It’s time to call in the ultimate wedding planner 🚨”.
The post was shared jointly with “Martha’s Weddings”, the online wedding magazine that originated as a print publication in 1994 before expanding to quarterly editions five years later.
Swift, 35, and Kelce, also 35, revealed their engagement in a joint Instagram post on August 26. “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨,” they captioned the photos, which showed Kelce down on one knee at his Kansas estate with a custom diamond ring co-designed with jeweler Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine. The slideshow was set to Swift’s track “So High School”, a song she has said was inspired by their romance.

Stewart’s wedding planner joke is not the first time she has shown her enthusiasm for the high-profile couple. According to Newsweek, in October 2024, she expressed her approval during an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen”. When fellow guest Snoop Dogg said he didn’t care about the couple, Stewart disagreed and exclaimed, “Yes! … I would like to go where they go. They’re cute!”
She had also been spotted snapping photos of the pair at the U.S. Open in New York that fall, and later admitted she found Swift and Kelce’s outings around the city intriguing.
Stewart Names Swift at the Top of Her List
Stewart went even further in November 2024 when she was asked which celebrity she would most like to spend time with. During the “Rent Free” game segment on Bilt Rewards’ app, she named Taylor Swift her top pick, calling the pop superstar “lovely.” She followed with Snoop Dogg in second place and George Clooney in third, adding with a laugh, “George Clooney, ’cause he’s fun. George is really nice to hang out with.”
Her repeated comments highlight just how invested Stewart has been in the relationship since Swift and Kelce first went public in 2023. Now that the couple is officially engaged, Stewart’s playful offer to plan their wedding has added another unexpected layer of celebrity excitement around their next chapter.
