The pop superstar and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end announced their engagement Aug. 26 with photos on social media, and the ceremony is reportedly set for summer 2026, per Page Six.
Swift’s $17.5 million home in Watch Hill, Westerly, could serve as the backdrop for the highly anticipated event. The oceanfront property, known as “Holiday House,” has become iconic among fans thanks to her Fourth of July parties and its mention in the song “The Last Great American Dynasty” from her 2020 album “Folklore.”
The Rhode Island estate is undergoing a $1.7 million renovation, according to permits obtained by the Providence Journal. Additions include a new wing with an extra bedroom, expanded bathrooms and an upgraded kitchen.
Rhode Island Gov. Dan McKee has publicly backed the idea of the superstar couple marrying in the Ocean State. “Rhode Island has some of the best wedding venues in the world, just saying,” McKee wrote on X when reposting news of the couple’s engagement.
Inside Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce’s Intimate Wedding Plans
Despite the buzz, sources say the wedding will be more low-key than many expect. “It will be more casual than people think,” one insider told Page Six, noting the couple’s plan to have a private ceremony with family and close friends.
Swift and Kelce shared their engagement with a lighthearted caption, writing, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.” Kelce later admitted on his podcast that he initially considered proposing on the water but opted for something “more Taylor.”
Kelce said he was “giddy” and “excited” about the engagement, while his brother Jason Kelce, who cohosts the podcast, teased, “Travis, you’re about to embark on the wedding planning phase of a relationship.”
Where Else Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce Might Get Married

Swift and Kelce have spent time in both places, with Montana retreats linking them to the exclusive Yellowstone Club.
New York has long been meaningful for Swift, who owns a Tribeca townhouse and has referenced Cornelia Street in her music. Big Sky, meanwhile, offers sweeping mountain views and privacy, making it a possible choice for a quieter celebration.
