Daisy Kent has been keeping her fans and followers updated when it comes to her love life. For instance, she announced when she moved in with her then-boyfriend, Thor Herbst, she revealed that she’s engaged and she shared details about the dreamy proposal. Now, she has opened up about plans for her wedding.
Taking to Instagram on Thursday, October 23, she posted a video of herself getting ready while talking about her ideas for the big day.
Romain Maurice/Getty Images“We of course still need to find a venue, but me and Thor have talked about it and we’re thinking either Minnesota or Utah [in the] winter time, like this next winter,” she said while discussing possibilities.
“We’re thinking our wedding’s going to be on the bigger side because I have a lot of family and we have a ton of friends, especially from college,” she added. “It’s honestly really nice that we have a lot of the same friends from college, but we have a very big college friend group.”
“The other thing is, if we do it in Minnesota or Utah, either way people are going to have to travel for it. So we want a venue that’s not insanely far from the airport and has a bunch of hotels around it,” she said, obviously considering practicalities.
Daisy Revealed Why She Wants a Winter Wedding
CanvaWinter weddings can be gorgeous and give off a wonderland vibe. That’s something that Daisy apparently knows well, and one of the reasons why she wants a ceremony that includes snow.
As for the seasonal event, she explained, “I never thought I wanted a winter wedding, but then my older sister had a winter wedding a few years ago and it was absolutely beautiful. So stunning and magical.”
On top of that, she noted, “My parents also got married in the middle of winter.”
Utah Is Special to the Couple
CanvaWhile Daisy and Thor are thinking of having their wedding in either Minnesota or Utah, it turns out that the latter location is very special to the engaged couple.
“Me and Thor also really love Utah because that’s where we kind of rekindled our love,” she revealed.
The bride-to-be added, “But I think the venue’s one of the main things that you have to lock down first…”
At the same time, she admitted, “I also could end up doing nothing that I just said and maybe we’ll do something completely different, but that’s where our heads are at right now.”
