Prince William and Kate Middleton are celebrating a major milestone in their marriage. The royal couple marked their 15th wedding anniversary by sharing a new family photo featuring their three children and a rare look at their growing household.
The image, posted on social media, offers a glimpse into the Prince and Princess of Wales’ family life as they reflect on more than a decade together.
Prince William & Kate Middleton Share Family Photo for Anniversary
William, 43, and Middleton, 44, released the photo on Instagram, alongside a message marking the occasion.
“Celebrating 15 years of marriage ❤️,” they wrote.
The outdoor image shows the couple relaxing on the grass with their children — Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 8. William is pictured sitting with two dogs beside him, while Middleton sits between George and Louis, holding hands with the youngest.
Charlotte appears at the edge of the group, smiling.
The photo also includes two cocker spaniels, one of which is the family’s longtime dog Orla. The second dog, a younger puppy, is making its first appearance in an official family portrait.
This marks the first time both dogs have been featured together in a full family photo.
Royal Family Expands With New Puppy Ahead of Milestone
The newly shared image follows earlier hints that the family had welcomed a new dog. Reports in 2025 indicated that Orla had a litter of puppies, and that the family planned to keep one.
Middleton later confirmed the addition during a royal visit earlier this year.
“So we’ve got a little puppy, he’s only 8 months, and Orla’s 5,” she said while speaking during an outing in Wales, according to comments shared with PEOPLE.
The couple’s social media accounts had also previously featured a brown puppy in a birthday post for William in June, suggesting the family’s expansion had already begun.
The addition of the new puppy is reflected in the anniversary photo, highlighting the family’s current dynamic.
Prince William Reflects on Marriage and Family Life
Prince William and Middleton were married in April 2011 at Westminster Abbey after meeting as students at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. Their relationship began as a friendship before becoming romantic in 2003.
The couple welcomed their first child, George, in 2013, followed by Charlotte in 2015 and Louis in 2018.
In a 2025 appearance on the “Reluctant Traveler,” William spoke to Eugene Levy about how his own upbringing has shaped his approach to family life.
“You take that [example] and you learn from it,” William said. “I think we all try and do that.”
He added that creating a stable home environment is a priority.
“I think it’s really important that that atmosphere is created at home,” he said. “You have to have that … feeling of safety, security, love.”
William also acknowledged the impact of childhood experiences.
“I just want to do what’s best for my children, but I know that the drama and the stress when you’re small really affects you when you’re older,” he said.

A 15-year milestone is pretty special. What a nice way to celebrate with family!
