Former ‘View’ Co-Host Welcomes Third Baby

Meghan McCain and Ben Domenech are celebrating a joyful milestone: the couple has welcomed their third child together, a baby boy, marking a moment of expansion and happiness for their growing family.

The news arrives as a heartwarming update for fans who have followed the former “The View” co-host and her husband through their transition to parenthood and family life.

McCain, 41 — daughter of the late Senator John McCain and a longtime commentator — and Domenech, 44, shared the exciting news exclusively with PEOPLE on Saturday, Jan. 3, revealing that they have welcomed a baby boy named Ransom McCain Domenech.

She told the outlet that Ransom was born on Friday, Jan. 2.

The Family Is Now a ‘Party of 5’

The newborn joins older siblings Liberty Sage, 5, and Clover Jade, 2, — making this the third time the couple has stepped into the role of proud parents.

The couple’s announcement included an adorable first photo of the baby, swaddled and resting in his parents’ arms right after delivery.

McCain and Domenech expressed their gratitude for the support of family and friends and thanked fans for their well-wishes.

“Everyone is happy, healthy and exhausted,” McCain told the outlet. “We’re absolutely over the moon that our baby boy is here.”

She added, “We’re so grateful to the incredible doctors and medical staff who took such wonderful care of all of us.”

She noted that her two daughters were excited for a brother.

“Liberty and Clover are so excited to have a baby brother. Our family is so blessed,” McCain added.

She concluded by adding, “Our family is overwhelmed with blessings, thank you all for your kind words, well wishes and prayers! Our family is officially a part of 5.”

McCain and Domenech tend to keep their family life private, but occasionally will share glimpses of their family with the public.

For McCain, motherhood is both a personal joy and a role she has embraced with heartfelt devotion.

In past interviews and social media posts, she has shared moments of laughter, challenge and everyday beauty that come with raising her children, emphasizing the importance of family connection and presence in her life.

McCain Previously Talked About Being Nervous to Welcome a Boy

McCain revealed on her podcast in June that she was nervous to have a boy after having two daughters.

“I hope you don’t mind. I wanted to let you in on something that’s private that I haven’t talked about publicly yet,” McCain told her guest Usha Vance at the time.

“I have two little girls. They are almost 5 and almost 3,” she added. “And I just am entering my second trimester, I’m pregnant with my third.”

“I know this is a weird way to announce it, but I’m very nervous about. It’s a boy. I’m very nervous about having a boy. And I’m very nervous about having three children. Very,” she continued.
