“The View” looked a little bit different on Monday, Jan. 26, after a massive snowfall hit New York City. USA Today reports that more than 12 inches of snow caused road closures and dangerous conditions. With “The View” studio located in Manhattan, fans of the hit talk show were unable to commute and fill the live audience.
At the beginning of the episode, co-host Whoopi Goldberg quickly explained why the audience was empty. Nonetheless, she assured viewers watching from home that the show would go on.
‘Bridgerton’ Stars Dish on Season 4
Fortunately it did, because “Bridgerton” stars Luke Thompson and Yerin Ha joined the panel for a tell-all segment about season 4, premiering on Netflix on Jan. 29.
During their interview, the cast members were grilled about specific details. With it being Ha’s first season in her role as Sophie Baek, she opened up about having the feeling of “imposter syndrome” while filming her character’s love story with Benedict Bridgerton.
Ha explained how she “never saw” herself playing that type of lead role. She noted how her habit of being a perfectionist had a slight impact on the way she viewed herself as Sophie, a maid who captures the heart of Benedict, whom most would say is out of her league.
After the actress gave her reason for why she questioned her ability to fulfill her role, “The View” co-host Goldberg gave her heartfelt advice about deserving the love she’s received, even if it’s in a fictional storyline. Goldberg reassured Ha that despite Sophie and Benedict’s relationship not fitting into the normative mold of prince and princess, she still deserved to feel worthy of that love.
Yerin Ha Jokes About Her Spotify Playlist Mishap
GettyHa also joked about how “Bridgerton” fans found out about her being cast in the upcoming season. Although producers had not yet announced the cast, Variety ran a story in August 2024, naming Ha as Thompson’s co-star.
Ha said that Variety learned of her role after fans did some digging on her Spotify playlist. Ha named her public playlist as “Sophie,” filling it with songs to help her get into the right frame of mind. “Fans had found my Spotify playlist, which I didn’t know wasn’t private,” she confirmed.
The new “Bridgerton” star also dished on being thankful that she never had to wear corsets during filming. “That, I was fine by,” she joked.
Although Goldberg told Ha and Thompson that they will always have a seat at their table, “The View” will have to make room for additional guests joining them later this week, including MTV star Spencer Pratt, former “The View” co-host Star Jones and more.
