A wedding and a baby. Just hours after it was announced that Johannah Duggar is engaged to be married, sister Joy-Anna Duggar revealed she is pregnant.
Joy is expecting her fourth child with husband Austin Forsyth and shared the news with a sweet social media announcement.

“Coming 2027!!” Joy shared via Instagram on Tuesday, September 1. “So much joy, so much excitement, and so much love for this little one already. God knew we needed you.”
The announcement photos — which were taken by the couple’s kids Gideon and Evelyn — show a heavily pregnant Joy cradling her baby bump with Austin embracing her from behind. The second slide is a snap of the couple kissing while holding up their sonogram images.
In addition to Gideon and Evelyn, the couple are already parents to son Gunnar.
The former “19 Kids & Counting” star recently appeared on her sister Jinger Duggar’s podcast, “The Jinger and Jeremy Podcast,” where she opened up about getting married young.
“We actually met when we were really young,” Joy-Anna told her sister. “But then his family … I think they had visited wherever we were having church, and then they, like, went and they had a different church, and we didn’t see each other, really, very often until he got his driver’s license and started playing football and broom ball with the boys.”
By the time she was 14, Joy-Anna admits she was “crushing hard.”
“I would have married him from day one,” the TLC star said. “I don’t think when we were dating and engaged, I didn’t think past ‘we’re going to have a farmhouse and we’re going to live happily ever after.’ I didn’t think past like, ‘I know he’s the one. It’s going to work out. Everything’s going to be fine.’ So there was a lot that surprised me.”
Joy-Anna Shut Down Pregnancy Rumors
Earlier this year, on a separate episode of her sister’s podcast, Joy shut down rumors that she and Austin were expecting their fourth child.
“So you guys are going through a lot. You just moved. You’ve got three children with a fourth on the way. Which we’re going to be announcing today. Is that not yet?” brother-in-law Jeremy Vuolo asked.
“[If you go on] Instagram, that is the case,” Joy-Anna responded, in reference to the rumors on social media.
Jinger added, “I feel like with AI, everybody’s having these fake pregnancy announcements. It’s kind of insane.”
Joy-Anna’s newest addition will mark Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s 43rd grandchild and comes amid news that their 16th child is heading to the altar.
After eagle-eyed fans spotted a wedding registry online that seemingly belonged to Johannah Duggar, it was confirmed that she is preparing to marry David Swanson. The couple filed for a marriage license in Arkansas ahead of their nuptials. While the date of the big day remains unclear, the marriage will further link the Duggar and Swanson families.
Joy-Anna and Johannah’s brother Josiah Duggar is married to David’s older sister, Lauren Swanson. The couple — who wed in 2018 — share four children together.
