Garrison Brown tragically passed away in 2024, changing the family forever. But even amid the heartbreak, they managed to press onward. His brother Gabriel moved to Chicago to start a new life.
Gabriel Brown isn’t active on social media, but he did share a rare peek into his life on Instagram.
Janelle Brown’s Son Gabriel Thrives in Chicago
Since Janelle Brown no longer has any young children at home, she’s excitedly exploring another chapter of life. However, she still dotes on her children and often features them on her Instagram page. In honor of Gabe Brown’s 24th birthday last year, she posted a sweet tribute to him.
“Happy 24th birthday @gaberown I’m so proud of you and all the adulting you have done this past year 😀. Moving to a new town and forging a new life. Way to go honey!” the TLC star penned on Instagram.
After losing his brother, Gabriel left Arizona and made Chicago his new home. Over the past year, he seems to have blossomed in the city. He rarely posts on social media, but he recently shared a new update with fans.
“A year in Chicago, and other people I like to call ‘home,'” Gabe shared in a new Instagram post. “Not pictured: every good time I had, with people I love, that did not fit into this post.”
The photos paint a memorable picture of his life in the city. He spends plenty of time with friends, at the beach, and overall just enjoying life. A few of his siblings even made it into the photo montage.
In the comments, fans and loved ones alike expressed gratitude that Gabriel seemed so happy and healthy these days.

The ‘Sister Wives’ Star Surrounds Herself With Family & Joy
When “Sister Wives” began, Janelle Brown insisted she was on board with the polygamous family dynamic. Since then, she’s left Kody Brown and pursued her own interests.
Janelle moved to North Carolina to be near her daughter, Maddie Brush, and her grandchildren. Today, she co-owns Taeda Fams with Maddie’s family and they couldn’t be happier.
“Living in a home I helped design, on land we chose, building something that used to just exist in conversations and plans,” Janelle shared in an Instagram post. “It’s strange how it happens. It doesn’t come together all at once. It’s decision after decision, step after step, and a lot of moments in between where you’re not entirely sure how it’s all going to work out.”
“But you keep going anyway,” the mother of six continued. “I think that’s the part I feel the most grateful for today… that I kept choosing to move forward even when it wasn’t clear. There’s still so much more I want to build here. This is really just the beginning of what this place will become.”
“Sister Wives” season 21 is expected to premiere on TLC later this year.
